The Senior Director of Product Management is responsible for the strategic leadership, prioritization, and execution of Greenway's core product portfolio, including EHR, Practice Management, Patient Engagement, Revenue Cycle, and Data & Insights platforms. This role defines product vision, portfolio strategy, and roadmap priorities in close partnership with Product Engineering to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-centered healthcare solutions. 

This role drives measurable customer and business outcomes through focused portfolio execution, platform simplification, and value realization. The Senior Director is accountable for aligning customer needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and commercialization outcomes across the full product lifecycle, while building and leading a high-performing product organization. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership 

  • Define and communicate product vision, portfolio strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities. 
  • Establish a strong voice-of-customer and market intelligence capability to inform product strategy, prioritization, and competitive positioning.  
  • Make portfolio-level tradeoff decisions across products, investments, and timelines to optimize long-term customer and business value. 
  • Align product investments with business priorities, customer outcomes, and long-term strategic goals. 
  • Make explicit recommendations to invest, sustain, modernize, or retire products based on customer value, financial performance, technical health, and strategic fit.  

Product Execution & Delivery 

  • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle execution from concept through launch, adoption, and continuous optimization. 
  • Define product requirements, outcomes, and priorities, and partner with Product Engineering to translate them into scalable technical solutions. 
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure product performance, adoption, and business impact; drive continuous improvement based on data. 
  • Ensure delivery of products on time and within budget while balancing scope, quality, and speed. 

People Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers. 
  • Design and evolve the product operating model to support scale, speed, and clarity of ownership across platforms and solutions. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement. 
  • Lead through influence, aligning teams across functions and driving clarity in ambiguous situations. 

Business Impact & Portfolio Economics 

  • Own product portfolio financials, including budget planning, investment prioritization, and ROI accountability. 
  • Define success metrics and track performance against revenue, growth, retention, adoption, and customer value objectives.  
  • Drive commercialization strategy in partnership with go-to-market teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption. 

Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership 

  • Partner closely with Product Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align on priorities and execution. 
  • Act as the primary product leader for executive stakeholders, communicating strategy, progress, risks, and tradeoffs. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers and partners, to ensure product-market fit and successful outcomes. 
  • Drive alignment across teams to ensure shared accountability for customer and business results. 

Education and Experience

  • Ten (10+) years of product management experience with a proven track record leading healthcare technology, preferably in the ambulatory/EHR space. 
  • Five (5+) years in a senior product leadership role with responsibility for teams, portfolio decisions, and cross-functional execution. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and lifecycle management for scalable healthcare technology platforms. 
  • Experience partnering with engineering and architecture teams on modernization, SaaS transformation, or platform evolution strongly preferred. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence C-suite leaders, healthcare stakeholders, and cross-functional partners. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.  
  • Oversee product budgets and financial planning for the portfolio. 
  • Ensure product investments align with customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience defining and using product KPIs, ROI models, and portfolio-level metrics. 
  • Strong go-to-market collaboration skills across sales, marketing, and customer success. 
  • Proactively identify potential risks in product development or regulatory compliance and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless product rollouts. 
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage ambiguity, and cascade functional strategy across teams. 
  • Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies. 
  • Working knowledge of healthcare workflows, interoperability, compliance, and modern product operating models preferred. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate be able to work in an environment where they will be seated for the majority of the workday  
  • This role requires that one can sit & regularly type on a keyboard for the majority of the workday  
  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as incoming and outgoing communications via the computer and/or mobile devices   
  • Must be able to work remotely and manage workload efficiently, prioritize projects with minimal supervision, and maintain a quiet setting while working with customers.   
  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates  
  • The position requires up to 25% travel
