We are seeking an accomplished Sr. Director, Product Sales to lead strategic growth for Research and Analytics within the Academic & Government segment. In this high-impact leadership role, you will shape how our product sales strategy comes to life across key markets, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen customer engagement, and drive operational excellence. This is an opportunity to influence long-term business direction, build high-performing teams, and play a meaningful role in advancing solutions that support research, innovation, and mission-critical decision-making across academic and government institutions. 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience leading strategic initiatives, operations, or business transformation across multiple functions 
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader business strategy 
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams across one or more functional areas and translating company strategy into actionable objectives 
  • Experience using performance metrics, operational data, and business insights to identify opportunities and implement solutions

What will you be doing in this role? 

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support company-wide objectives and long-term growth 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align departmental goals with overall business strategy 
  • Oversee operations across multiple teams, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and accountability in execution 
  • Influence organizational direction by providing strategic insight, data-driven recommendations, and forward-looking planning 
  • Build and maintain high-performing teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement 
  • Monitor performance metrics and operational outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions 
  • Drive sustainable sales results by aligning team execution to strategic priorities, reinforcing disciplined sales practices, and supporting consistent revenue growth 

Management Responsibilities 

  • Lead and direct the activities of teams across one or more functional areas 
  • Drive strategic initiatives, translating company strategy into multifunctional objectives for the department or segment 
  • Lead and direct the work of multiple functional areas to achieve objectives with significant contribution toward mid-term and long-term results for the department, segment, or organization 
  • Define, influence, and communicate a clear vision and long-term plan for organizational success 
  • Provide influential leadership within the organization or segment, driving cohesive direction toward company goals 
  • Build accountability for sustained sales performance through focused coaching, clear expectations, and operational discipline across the team 

About the Team 

This role partners closely with senior leadership, department leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategic priorities, improve operational execution, and support long-term business growth. The leader in this role will help connect company strategy to team-level execution while driving accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. 

Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. 

 

 Compensation

 

The expected base salary for this position is $190,000 - $205,000 USD per year.  This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings.  Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
