General Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Growth the Senior E-Commerce Manager will own and drive the ecommerce strategy and day-to-day performance of Alfred Music’s digital commerce channels, with a primary focus on Amazon and Shopify. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that grow revenue, improve the customer experience, optimize product visibility, and strengthen overall ecommerce performance. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with deep experience managing Amazon and Shopify and a track record of translating ecommerce strategy into measurable results. This person will work closely with internal teams, agencies, consultants, and contractors to execute the ecommerce roadmap while helping build a scalable and sustainable ecommerce operation.
Core Functions
- Own and execute Alfred Music’s overall ecommerce strategy across DTC, Amazon, Shopify, and other marketplace channels, with accountability for driving sustainable revenue growth.
- Lead site merchandising, including product assortment, catalog content, navigation, search, pricing, promotions, and the overall online customer experience.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve ecommerce conversion, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Own ecommerce SEO and product discoverability strategies across owned and marketplace channels.
- Manage ecommerce email and lifecycle marketing initiatives in partnership with internal teams and external partners.
- Oversee Amazon and Shopify operations and strategy, including product listings, merchandising, promotions, SEO, account management, and marketplace growth.
- Analyze ecommerce performance, customer behavior, and channel data to identify opportunities, measure results, and guide business decisions.
- Manage and provide strategic direction in collaboration with your manager to agencies, consultants, and contractors supporting ecommerce, while helping build a scalable and sustainable internal operation.
- Identify and implement new ecommerce tools, technologies, processes, and marketplace opportunities that improve performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements
Requirements- 5+ years of progressive experience in ecommerce, digital commerce, or a related field.
- Experience owning or managing an ecommerce business generating $1M+ in annual revenue, with experience at larger scale preferred.
- Proven experience managing and growing ecommerce channels, with significant hands-on experience with Amazon and Shopify.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing ecommerce strategy across areas such as merchandising, promotions, pricing, conversion, SEO, analytics, email, and marketplace management.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce performance metrics and the ability to use data and analytics to drive business decisions and optimize channel performance.
- Experience managing external agencies, consultants, and/or contractors and providing clear strategic direction.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Deep experience managing Amazon, including Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, product listings, promotions, merchandising, SEO, and marketplace growth.
- Experience managing a DTC ecommerce business through Shopify.
- Experience with Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics 4, and Google Search Console.
- Experience with BI, reporting, or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Sigma or others.
- Experience with additional ecommerce marketplaces beyond Amazon.
- Experience working with large or complex product catalogs and/or high SKU volumes.
- Experience in music, publishing, or a related industry is a plus, but not required.

Travel
This position requires approximately 10–15% travel, primarily for trade shows, industry events, and other business-related activities. Travel may be more frequent during the first six months to build a strong understanding of our customers, products, and purchasing behaviors.

Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role is $78,518-$130,864. We typically hire at the lower to mid-point of the range, with the top end reserved for internal growth and exceptional performance. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary this position will be eligible for an attractive performance based variable compensation plan.
