Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer (Test) provides hands-on design in developing test equipment for all phases of electrical and electromechanical projects. This individual has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature set. This individual will retain technical ownership of test equipkment throughout the design, development, production, and support phases.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of project development teams to understand the products to be tested
  • Architect, design, prototype, verify and document complex test equipment for development, qualification, and production testing of RAVE products
  • Select suppliers for COTS items
  • Design printed circuit boards such as development breakout boards and custom test equipment interfaces
  • Design cabling for connection to units under test and internal to equipment
  • Integrate test equipment with Manufacturing Software
  • Work with the team on project schedules to ensure test equipment is available on time
  • Interface with regulatory testing agencies to secure approvals such as FCC and CE
  • Provide support to factory in resolving production test issues
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 6+ years of experience working in similar role
  • Well versed in electromagnetic compatibility regulatory requirements and mitigation of problems found during testing
  • Proven track record in meeting project goals and objectives
  • Experience in the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE, IFEC) industry, avionics industry

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $112,500 to $127,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
