Title:                            Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Opportunity: Mendaera is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain hardware that automates surgical interventions based on real-time multimodal imaging and sensor information.  


Job Description: 

Experience with engaging Contract Manufacturers including: knowledge in the construction and build processes of PCBAs; experience with test procedure development; improving production yields. Support Manufacturing and In-Field operations by troubleshooting component and system level failures as they occur. Supporting, designing, and developing mixed-signal circuits used in motor driver applications, ADCs, and feedback sensor technologies. Generate analog and digital electrical designs supporting 32-bit microcontroller systems. Understanding and managing issues of signal and power integrity through first principles, circuit simulations, circuit modeling, and use case analysis. Knowledge of printed circuit board types including rigid, flex, rigid-flex, and HDI technologies. Lab testing of mixed-signal circuits and experience with using oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, signal generators, etc. to validate designs. Knowledge of ESD requirements, testing, and good practices. Working with product and safety systems teams to run DFMEA to ensure robust and safe products. Can work remotely.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any other related degree.


Special Skills Required:

Required skills must include any experience with each of the following:

  • experience with schematic capture and layout for printed circuit boards using CAD software (such as KiCAD, Eagle, Cadence, or Altium);
  • experience with prototyping new circuit functionality for small electronics devices;
  • experience understanding and applying fundamental electrical engineering knowledge into practical applications of new technology development;
  • experience working with Universal Serial Bus (USB) technology inclusive of USB2.0, USB3.0, USB Power Delivery, and USB Type-C connectors to implement a high-speed and high-power user-facing interface
  • experience design with high-speed signaling on printed circuit boards (such as DDR, HDMI, or USB3.0)
  • experience interacting with contract manufacturers (CMs) to produce prototypes of new printed circuit board technology. #LI-DNI

Salary:                         $175,281 - $180,000 per year                 Work Hours:   9 AM to 5 PM
