Description

Powered by AI, Vantaca's vision is big! We are the leading AI-native community management performance platform that enables owners and operators, community management teams, boards and associations to work smarter, faster, and with unprecedented insight. More than just accounting and management software, Vantaca is intelligent business operating software that leverages artificial intelligence to automate routine work, surface actionable insights, and help our customers increase revenue, efficiency, flexibility, and control.

Built on modern cloud architecture with a single-platform design, Vantaca combines comprehensive functionality that adapts to 100% of business processes with AI-powered automation that learns and improves over time. Our proactive AI capabilities don't just report on what happened; they predict what's coming and recommend what to do next. From intelligent document processing and predictive analytics to automated workflows and conversational interfaces, we're transforming how community management companies operate.

With seamless integrations across the software and banking ecosystem, we're building the intelligent hub for community management where AI doesn't just assist, it anticipates. Vantaca is focused exclusively on community management and is the trusted technology leader defining the AI-powered future of the community association management industry. We're building something fundamentally different, and our customers are experiencing the competitive advantage that comes from working with truly intelligent software.

Vantaca just achieved unicorn status with a $1.25B valuation, so it's safe to say we're past the "scrappy startup phase." We're not just building a successful company—we're building the category-defining platform that will transform how an entire industry operates.

The Opportunity

The Vantaca Community Management Platform is the flagship application at the center of how community management companies operate. Community managers, accountants, boards, homeowners, and partners rely on it every day to manage requests, communicate, resolve issues, run financial workflows, and keep communities moving. We are evolving that platform for an AI-native future.

This role sits at the center of the transformation: designing the application platform, domain models, workflows, APIs, and orchestration patterns that allow humans and HOAi Fleet agents to operate from the same trusted system. The work spans the critical workflows of community management: homeowner needs and requests, board communication, financial operations, issue resolution, approvals, reporting, integrations, and task execution. The mission is to streamline how work gets completed so community management teams spend less time navigating process and more time supporting their communities.

Desktop users need visibility and speed. Mobile users need focused execution. Production agents need composable, predictable, auditable capabilities. This role designs and delivers the platform foundation that makes all three work together. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to bring the Vantaca Community Management Platform into the agentic era.

What You'll Own

  • Drive modernization of the Vantaca Community Management Platform across the domains that power community operations, accounting workflows, homeowner requests, board communication, approvals, task execution, and integrations.
  • Design and deliver agent-ready APIs, domain models, and platform capabilities used by desktop experiences, mobile workflows, third-party integrations, and HOAi Fleet agents operating in production.
  • Turn complex business processes into reusable orchestration patterns that make critical workflows easier to execute, automate, observe, and evolve.
  • Define safe agent execution patterns, including predictable tool contracts, permission boundaries, approval paths, idempotency, observability, and auditability.
  • Own technical decisions for your domain from design through delivery, including API contracts, data correctness, production reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with product, QA, AI, and engineering leaders to translate real customer workflows into shippable platform capabilities.
  • Use AI-native development practices to increase engineering throughput, including spec-driven development, agent-assisted implementation, and orchestration of multiple build units in parallel.

What We're Looking For

  • A platform-minded engineer who sees API design as product design and understands that contracts define how humans, systems, integrations, and agents operate.
  • Deep software engineering fundamentals across distributed systems, domain modeling, data design, service boundaries, testing, debugging, observability, and production ownership.
  • Experience designing production systems that serve multiple consumers, user types, applications, or automation surfaces from the same underlying business logic.
  • Ability to take complex business workflows, identify the core model underneath them, and turn that model into reliable, reusable platform capability.
  • Strong judgment in modernization work: knowing when to evolve existing systems, when to redesign, and how to keep shipping while improving the foundation.
  • AI-native engineering fluency: you use agents as part of your development workflow, can break work into executable units, coordinate multiple implementation paths in parallel, and maintain architectural and quality control while increasing throughput.
  • Strong product and business instincts. You care about the workflow being solved, not just the code being written.

Preferred

  • Experience building workflow-heavy business applications in operationally complex domains such as accounting, payments, financial operations, property management, community management, banking, insurance, ERP, or similar industries.
  • Experience modernizing platforms across APIs, services, data models, integrations, workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, or durable business processes.
  • Experience designing agent-ready or automation-ready architecture, including tool contracts, composable operations, approval workflows, verification, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Polyglot technical range: comfortable moving across languages, frameworks, data stores, and codebases to solve the right problem with the right tool.
  • High-agency track record: you have owned meaningful systems end-to-end and shipped through ambiguity.

You'll thrive here if

  • You're energized by the business problems you're solving and you want to define, design, and own outcomes end-to-end
  • You build in quality and ship fast without sacrificing reliability or security
  • You hold a high bar for data integrity and correctness as the systems we build affect real communities at scale
  • You love winning as a team
