Job Description:

Microchip FPGA BU is looking for a talented, passionate and creative Product Engineering Technical Program Manager to join our new product development team.

The candidate will support the pre-production rollout of new products. This cross-functional role will provide opportunities to interact with and support many product rollout players including Test Engineering, Package Engineering, Yield Enhancement, Engineering Planners, Qualification Engineers, Quality, Marketing, and Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate early builds for engineering in support of validation

  • Manage inventory and coordinate Early Sample (ES) and pre-production (PP) builds in support of family rollout, stocking plans, and pre-production forecast

  • Monitor package test yields through statistical analysis

  • Work on enhancements to meet test goal targets

  • Manage production holds to enable customer shipments and revenue.

  • Develop scripts to monitor yields, track builds and identify bottlenecks. Report status to rollout team

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of industry-related experience in electrical engineering or computer science.

  • Master’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years of industry-related experience in electrical engineering or computer science.

  • A minimum of 1 year in Product engineering, product planning or program management

  • Hands-on experience with data management tools and languages like KLA and JMP

  • Knowledge of solid-state physics and microelectronics is required.

  • Skilled with scripting languages like TCL/PERL/Python, C and C++ , and Visual Basic.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $70,304 - $163,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
