What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the build, test, and deploy platform teams that power reliable, scalable software delivery. This role focuses on deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and a proven execution mindset. You will set direction and drive outcomes for delivery platforms at scale, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency of the software delivery lifecycle.
You will be accountable for team health and partnering closely with senior engineers and technical leads on system design and operational excellence.
In this role, you will
- Lead the architecture and technical direction of build, test, and deploy platforms, guiding design decisions across pipelines, test infrastructure, and release automation to enable scalable, reliable software delivery.
- Champion innovation in software delivery, identifying opportunities to modernize systems, streamline workflows, and set the long-term vision for the organization’s build, test, and deploy ecosystem.
- Define and enforce standards for reliability, performance, scalability, and security, ensuring platforms meet high-volume, high-availability requirements while continuously improving developer productivity and experience.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps, track key KPIs (build success, deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR).
- Drive execution with a focus on operational excellence, technical debt management, and measurable outcomes.
- Build and scale a high-performing engineering organization, mentoring senior engineers and technical leads, fostering ownership, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading platform, infrastructure, or internal developer teams.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating build, test, and deploy platforms at scale, with deep technical expertise in pipelines, release automation, test infrastructure, artifact management, and platform reliability.
- Strong understanding of SDLC practices, code review workflows, and branching/release strategies (e.g., trunk-based development).
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing engineering teams, driving cross-functional initiatives, and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
- Skilled in defining KPIs, tracking performance, and delivering measurable improvements in velocity, quality, and reliability.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, and modern deployment practices.
- Strong communicator, able to articulate vision, strategy, and technical direction to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with DORA metrics and delivery performance measurement
- Exposure to supply-chain security and compliance
- Experience leading teams in a distributed environment
The base salary range for this role is $188,000 to $275,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace
While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
