The Fanatics team owns the core fan experience at GameChanger, focused on reducing the barriers fans face in discovering and connecting to the coverage they care about, and building the athlete-centered experiences that keep them engaged over time. The team's goal is to make GC feel personally relevant to every fan, so that following a young athlete's journey becomes a consistent part of their week.
As Sr Engineering Manager, you'll lead and grow a team of engineers working across iOS, Android, Web and backend platforms. You will shape the technical direction of the team's systems and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to connect roadmap priorities to real user and business impact. You'll report to one of our Directors of Engineering.
What You'll Do
Coach and develop your engineers through regular 1:1s, clear expectations, and opportunities that stretch their skills and build toward their goals.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to shape roadmap priorities, navigate trade-offs, and drive predictable delivery by helping your team break work into shippable increments.
Set clear standards for product quality and engineering craft, and help the team consistently deliver work that meets them regardless of pace or pressure.
Hire and onboard strong engineers, keeping the bar high on values alignment, skill fit, and AI fluency as a core part of how they approach their work.
Contribute to engineering culture and organizational effectiveness beyond your team through cross-team initiatives, mentorship of other managers, and helping shape how our org operates.
Who You Are
4+ years leading engineering teams and 6+ years of software development experience, with a track record of managing and growing senior engineering talent.
You have technical depth in one or more areas of our stack, with enough breadth to engage credibly in architecture conversations, hold a consistent standard for quality and reliability, and maintain the trust of senior engineers.
You have good product instincts, build strong working relationships with Product and Design partners, and know how to align on priorities in a way that drives meaningful outcomes.
You are active in developing your own AI fluency and in helping your team do the same. You hold a high bar for judgment and ownership regardless of how code gets written.

The target salary range for this position is between $209,000 and $235,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
