About the roleWe're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager who will lead and grow a team dedicated to improving our platform’s functionality and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and a proven track record as a leader managing complex teams. They should thrive in an fast growing environment where initiative, creativity, ownership are valued, and foundational practices are being established.
- Lead a squad of Engineers: You might take over a newly forming team that team will use AI and more to help our customers manage + derive insights from their data. You’ll drive the vision and strategy and lead a cohesive, healthy, + high-performing team. We're also looking for someone to lead the team which owns our new user onboarding and experience space, so you may join either team.
- Driving strategic initiatives: Work cross-functionally to align engineering efforts with business goals and across teams (as needed), ensuring that our solutions are prioritized appropriately while meeting customer and maintaining high standards in scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Manage people & developing leaders: Hire, coach, mentor and partner with engineers and engineering leaders to foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, manage performance, and support professional growth.
- Technical guidance: Ensure the team has what it needs to make technical decisions, provide guidance on those decisions, ensure clarity of the problem space, and empower the team to own their decisions.
- Building products: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build our product that will drive improvements to our customer data and views. You have strong experience balancing competing priorities and driving large initiatives.
- Integrating AI: Spearhead the integration of AI technologies, including enhancing contact properties.
About you
- Experienced in leading high-performing remote teams, coaching engineers and leaders, and fostering collaboration through strong communication and active listening skills.
- Strong background in software engineering, especially in SaaS and fast-growing environments, with experience in evaluating technical feasibility and familiarity with AI technologies to enhance product features.
- Skilled in strategic prioritization, balancing short-term goals with long-term vision, and building scalable practices with an ownership mindset and a commitment to excellence
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position in Canada is $214,000 - $237,000 CAD, plus equity and benefits. This range is designed to align with market rates in areas where we are actively recruiting in Canada.
The range displayed reflects the target for new hire salaries, and within this range, individual pay is determined by your skills and experience, as well as relevant education. Your recruiter can share more and answer questions about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Salary is just one component of Quo’s total compensation package. Your total rewards package will include equity, extensive medical coverage, a monthly lifestyle stipend, and a flexible PTO policy.
