Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of iOS engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and career development, while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

  • Contribute to the codebase and provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, and key engineering decisions.

  • Partner with product, design, and data to define, scope, and deliver high-impact features, owning execution from concept through launch.

  • Establish and uphold a high bar for engineering quality, including code standards, testing practices, and long-term maintainability.

  • Operate as a player/coach with an expected ~50% hands-on engineering contribution.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing high-performing, mobile engineering teams.

  • 10+ years of professional iOS development experience, with strong proficiency in UIKit, Swift, reactive programming, MVVM, and experience across the iOS ecosystem, including Apple Payments. 

  • Experience building and shipping mobile applications to scaled audiences, with strong understanding of architecture, performance optimization, and user experience.

  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept through launch, balancing speed and quality, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver business impact.

  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers, with strong communication and leadership skills.

  • An AI-forward mindset, with curiosity about applying emerging technologies to improve developer and product experiences.
