Overview

The Senior Enterprise Architect – Network & Public Cloud is a strategic leadership role responsible for the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise-wide network and public cloud architectures. This position will drive the development and adoption of innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, individual business units, and external partners to define and execute scalable, secure, and cost-effective network and cloud strategies. The role encompasses oversight of migration activities to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), integration with private cloud and on-premises environments, and the establishment of architecture standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks and standards for global network and cloud domains.
  • Lead strategic planning and roadmap development for physical, hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Advise and consult with Product, Project, and Engineering teams on cloud adoption, network modernization, and digital transformation.
  • Oversee solution evaluation, vendor selection, and customization for network and cloud technologies.
  • Ensure rigorous testing, certification, and security compliance for all network and cloud releases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Architecture and Engineering teams.
  • Own documentation, governance, and lifecycle management for enterprise network and cloud solutions.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience architecting and leading large-scale network and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Strong background in enterprise network design, including routing, switching, security, and automation.
  • Ability to establish and enforce design patterns, standards, and best practices for cloud and network solutions.
  • Experience with network automation, orchestration, and DevOps methodologies (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Jenkins, Git, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.) and security frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud-based load balancing, monitoring, alerting, and logging.
  • Expertise in platform security, governance, and compliance (SCPs, IAM, data protection).
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and solution customization.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

Qualifications

Desirable Skills

  • Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Cloud Architect, CCIE/CCNP, JNCIE/JNCIP, NSE Level 4/5/6/7.

  • Experience with AAA, Tacacs+, Radius, CA/PKI, and enterprise identity management.

  • Familiarity with Voice over IP, wireless, and data center technologies (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper).

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

  • Knowledge of cloud-native services, microservices, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Experience with CloudFormation, ARM templates, and other cloud provisioning tools.

  • Ability to automate using scripting languages and vendor-specific tools (Arista Cloudvision, Cisco DNA Center).

  • For this role in the US, we anticipate paying $140,000k - $180,000K. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
