Senior ETL/BI Application Engineer

About the Role  

This is not a development role, though you may collaborate with developers. As an ETL/BI Application engineer, you will install and maintain Cognos, Business Objects and Informatica across the life cycle of operating environments for multiple clients with growing presence in the Azure cloud. Other duties include optimizing performance, installing updates as well as vulnerability fixes. As our presence in the cloud matures, other ETL/BI tools may be introduced. This is a remote position, requiring excellent communication, self-motivation, discipline and a solid work ethic.

Responsibilities:  

• Install, configure, update, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot Informatica and Cognos applications in large PBM, MMIS and data warehouse operating environments. 

• Collaborate with other teams on deliverables.

• Respond to tickets and inquiries within the expected time.

• Provide timely correspondence on actions and status as well as meetings.

• Perform company administrative activities as required. (mandatory training, time keeping, goal/performance activities, comply with all policies/processes/procedures)

• Be willing to work outside business hours to implement projects or system changes.

Required Skills:  

• The discipline and integrity to work remotely and communicate effectively.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cognos v11 & v12 and Informatica Power Center v10.x,IDMC and CDI-PC on Linux

• Hands-on experience with SSO technologies, including Forgerock.

• Hands-on experience with Business Objects v4.3 in a clustered configuration preferred.

• Hands-on experience with Tableau is helpful.

• Configure authentication (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO).

• Manage Cognos servers, gateways, dispatchers, and content store databases

• Deploy and migrate cognos reports,Informatica code across environments.

• Troubleshoot report failures and server issues.

• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development teams.

• Performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.

• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development teams.

• Manage backups, recovery, and migration between environments (DEV, QA, PROD).

• Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

• Create/edit published system documentation.

• Perform duties as assigned and adopt additional technologies as needed.

• Cloud operating environment experience is a plus.

• Healthcare experience is a plus.

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $85,450 - $110,000
