In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping and executing a diverse portfolio of high-impact events-including internal corporate gatherings, field marketing activations, partner engagements, and industry trade shows. This role will focus on industry events, tradeshows and partner events (~12 events per year).
As one of two senior-level event leaders, you'll operate with significant ownership and autonomy. Most events are hosted within North America.
Note: This role requires periodic travel to support on-site execution of key events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own event strategy and execution: Lead end-to-end event planning, including logistics, vendor and budget management, content coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Drive strategic alignment: Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships to define event objectives, shape program content, and deliver experiences that drive business impact.
  • Elevate brand experience: Create distinctive, on-brand event environments that differentiate VelocityEHS and foster stronger engagement with prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Measure and optimize: Build run-of-show plans, event briefs, and post-event reports; define KPIs and implement learnings to improve outcomes over time.
  • Lead as a peer collaborator: Work in close partnership with your fellow Senior Event Manager to evolve our event approach, share best practices, and ensure flexibility in how responsibilities are divided across event types and functions.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field or related experience
  • 3-5 years of experience managing tradeshows in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across departments and in cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and persistent
  • Flexibility to travel 25% of the time
  • Availability to respond to calls/emails outside of standard business hours
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work with C-suite executives and stakeholders
  • Experience using Salesforce, Marketo, Microsoft Teams, and Event Management Tools (Team Up, Trello, RegFox, etc.)
