The Team:
 

The Supply Chain Finance team plays a critical role in partnering with supply chain leadership to deliver business value through end-to-end inventory and cost stewardship, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision support. Our mission is to act as a trusted finance partner to operations by providing clear insights, enabling data-driven decisions, strengthening governance and controls, and supporting strategic initiatives across Distribution and Manufacturing. You will be part of a global Finance organization supporting U.S. operations within a dynamic, multinational environment.

The Role:
 

This role is a senior finance leadership position with end‑to‑end accountability for U.S. Supply Chain Operations, driving financial strategy, transformation, and performance across Distribution and Manufacturing. As the primary strategic finance partner to U.S. Supply Chain leadership, you will shape and influence strategic decisions through deep financial insight, rigorous performance management, and strong inventory governance. You will build and develop a high‑performing finance organization, embedding finance as a strategic enabler of operational excellence, working capital optimization, and sustainable value creation across the U.S. supply chain.

Position located in one of the following areas: San Diego, California; Calabasas, California; or Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Let’s talk about Responsibilities:

Strategic Initiatives & Business Value Support:

  • Act as the primary finance partner for U.S. Distribution and Manufacturing operations.

  • Support strategic and operational initiatives with financial evaluation, scenario analysis, and clear recommendations.

  • Assess financial impact of productivity initiatives, network changes, inventory strategies, and cost optimization programs.

  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities and translate operational activity into financial outcomes.

Month-End Close:

  • Own and oversee all Supply Chain and Inventory-related month-end close activities.

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting of inventory, manufacturing variances, cost of goods sold, and distribution expenses.

  • Partner with Operations and Accounting to resolve issues and continuously improve close quality and efficiency.

Forecasting & Planning:

  • Partner with supply chain operations to align forecasts with volume, capacity, and execution plans.

  • Monitor forecast accuracy and highlight risks and opportunities to leadership.

  • Support annual operating plan and long-range planning activities relating to supply chain and working capital.

Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Partner with supply chain operations translating financial and operational data into actionable KPIs and transparent insights that drive performance and accountability.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance KPIs that link financial performance to operational drivers.

  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting to enhance transparency and decision support

Inventory Value Optimization:

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to drive inventory value optimization, improving capital efficiency, data integrity, and control maturity while reducing operational and financial risk.

  • Establish and maintain robust inventory governance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls to safeguard inventory as a strategic balance‑sheet asset.

People Leadership & Reporting Line Accountability:

  • Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to a team of finance professionals partnering with U.S. supply chain operations.

  • Align responsibilities and priorities across the team to ensure effective end-to-end supply chain finance coverage.

  • Build a collaborative, accountable team culture with a strong business partnering mindset.

Business Partnering & Governance:

  • Serve as the Supply Chain Finance point of contact for U.S. operations.

  • Build strong relationships with U.S. Distribution and Manufacturing leaders to influence outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and company accounting policies.

  • Support internal and external audits related to supply chain and inventory activities.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Senior leader with 8+ years of industry experience with expertise in supply chain operations.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving transformation across supply chain-led strategic initiatives.

  • Financial modelling capability across productivity, network and capacity strategy decisions.

  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and SOX controls.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and constructively challenging the status quo.

  • Proven ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships.

Desirable:

  • Deep understanding of U.S. supply chain dynamics and operating models.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, complex environments.

  • Hands‑on experience leveraging advanced analytics or AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Power BI, Anaplan, SQL, Python) to enhance forecasting and insight.

  • Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong digital and learning mindset, with curiosity toward emerging finance and analytics capabilities.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. 

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: $141,000.00 - $211,000.00 USD.
