What You Can Look Forward To:
Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our team. Energy Recovery’s finance team combines traditional FP&A with strategic business decision-making, supporting ERI executive leadership. This role would be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations at our San Leandro manufacturing facility including near- and long-term strategic planning and reporting. This analyst would be tasked with analyzing data and providing actional recommendations, leading cross-functional initiatives, and preparing executive level reporting all within our teams' lean and dynamic environment.
What Will You Do?
- Analyze key performance indicators including cost of sales, revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures
- Provide strategic recommendations and insights based on this analysis.
- Partner with business units to plan and mange company resources creating detailed forecasts
- Identify and implement cross-company initiatives to improve efficiency and drive company financial performance
- Lead pricing efforts for a variety of products, including cost/volume analyses.
- Prepare materials for executive presentations, Board of Director meetings, shareholder communication, and presentations for other key external stakeholders.
- Evaluate and manage capital investment opportunities, including business cases focused on automation, make vs. buy decisions, and strategic growth.
- Lead cost improvement efforts across all portfolio products including identification of areas of focus and execution of targeted initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Evidence of exceptional ability, including ability to function in an ambiguous environment, drive projects independently, and execute priority and non-priority tasks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements
- Excellent analytical skills. (e.g., financial modelling, Microsoft Office applications)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders.
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects.
