The Senior Financial Analyst will manage financial reporting, develop analytics solutions, support financial modeling, track KPIs, and improve processes.
As a Senior Financial Analyst on Navan’s Strategic Finance team, your role will be critical in accelerating Navan’s strategic roadmap and taking on a variety of operational and strategic initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
You will play a key part in Navan’s annual planning, quarterly board reporting, and monthly financial performance review processes, managing project milestones, and developing customized reporting for senior leadership.
- Lead and own monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, while ensuring both accuracy and timeliness
- Develop customized reporting solutions by leveraging advanced analytics and data visualization tools to provide clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Assist with developing and maintaining a complex, fully integrated 3-statement financial model to forecast future financial performance, evaluate risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making with data driven insights.
- Capabilities to build and improve models within a framework with principles including consistency and security.
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to identify relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives and business goals - including the development of data sourcing methods, monitoring of KPI trends, analysis of performance against targets, and creation of outputs to visualize key insights
- Collaborate with department leads to track expenses, review forecasts, provide transparent financial insights, and overall be a strategic financial advisor to business partner(s)
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and respond to leadership requests
- Monitor and track project milestones across multiple initiatives, ensuring timely completion and clear communication of any changes or risks
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing financial processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams where necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, CPA, CFA) is preferred
- 3+ years of work experience, ideally in one of the following areas Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Finance
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Detail-oriented problem solver with a track record of driving process improvements
- Ability to build trust with stakeholders and leaders across the organization and drive results through soft skills, not through mandates
- Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving, and high-intensity environments
- Nice to have experience working with NetSuite, Workday, Greenhouse, and Anaplan
