Senior Frontend Engineer, Mobile

Roger is an AI platform that frees home health clinicians from paperwork so they can focus on what matters: delivering life-changing care to our most vulnerable elderly patients in the comfort of their homes. The frontend is where clinicians meet Roger. They use us in the field, between visits, in cars, and in homes with spotty connectivity, often by voice while their hands are busy. We are now looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own that experience across mobile and web: building fast, intuitive, beautiful interfaces that hold up in the messy, real-world conditions clinicians work in every day.

• Build and own the clinician experience across both our mobile app and web dashboard.

• Continuously improve robustness, design, layout, and overall user experience.

• Partner closely with Product Design to build intuitive, beautiful experiences that delight users.

• Architect scalable, resilient frontends that hold up under real-world conditions.

• Build more self-serve options that let clinicians do more on their own.

• Tackle some of the hardest problems in mobile: real-time voice interfaces, deep device and audio integration, offline-first architecture, and graceful handling of unreliable, real-world connectivity.

• Bring strong intuition for building frontends in the world of AI, with great infrastructure and monitoring behind them.

• Establish best practices for code quality, performance, testing, and maintainability.

• 6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with deep mobile expertise.

• Strong experience shipping production mobile apps as well as modern web applications.

• Expertise with modern frontend tooling (React/React Native, TypeScript, Expo, build systems, CI/CD).

• Experience building for complex cases: voice and audio, device capabilities, offline support, and unreliable connectivity.

• A track record of designing scalable UI architectures and managing large, dynamic client-side state.

• Intuition for building frontends on top of AI systems, including the monitoring and infrastructure that keep them reliable.

• A passion for fast, intuitive, and beautiful interfaces, and high standards for quality when real users depend on your work.
