The Senior Frontend/React Native Engineer will contribute to UI/UX improvements, ship key features, and refactor frontend architecture for Littlebird's applications.
We're hiring Senior React Native engineers to join our fast-paced team to design, develop, and implement new features for Littlebird, our AI teammate for Mac and Android (Windows soon). We're building a personal AI that connects your entire digital life, protecting your focus from clutter and surfacing what you need, the moment you need it. Check out the recent TechCrunch news on our $11M seed funding and what users are saying about the product.
We're a small, async-first team that cares deeply about product quality and user experience. We value direct feedback and a relentless focus on the details that matter.
The Role:
You'll be a core contributor to our client applications (desktop and mobile), responsible for raising the bar for our UI/UX and shipping major user-facing features.
What you'll do:
- Own the user experience. Drive UI/UX polish across the app. You'll fix inconsistencies, improve legibility, and create a more intuitive, less noisy interface.
- Ship key features. Take ownership of new features from the component level up, like our new onboarding flow and Meeting Notes experience.
- Refactor for the future. Help us pay down technical debt. You'll identify areas for improvement in our frontend architecture (e.g., state management) and lead the charge to make our codebase cleaner.
- Build for cross-platform. Ensure our components and logic work seamlessly across our Electron and React Native apps.
What we're looking for:
- Deep experience building complex applications with React and React Native.
- You understand the React render cycle on mobile. You know how to prevent UI thread blocking, optimize list rendering for messaging, and orchestrate complex asynchronous data fetching securely.
- Ability to utilize frontier agentic models to accelerate your own development, and also integrate AI capabilities directly into our mobile interfaces
- A strong eye for design and a passion for UI/UX. You notice the small details that make a big difference.
- A pragmatic approach to frontend development. You build custom components when needed, but also know when to use existing libraries.
- The ability to thrive in an async, high-feedback environment. You communicate clearly, own your work, and are comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback.
Why join Littlebird?
- A fully remote work environment
- Competitive salary
- Meaningful equity in an early-stage company
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
- Unlimited PTO
- 401(k) plan available
- A team that cares about craft, clarity, and doing good work
Locations: Remote (US hours) and/or San Francisco (hybrid)
