The Role

As a Client Operations Engineer, you'll design and build custom solutions that range from AI-powered workflows to full-stack applications—leveraging your unique blend of technical SEO & Marketing expertise and technical skills. While you will occasionally interface directly with clients, you'll also work closely with our internal teams who do, translating client requirements into elegant technical solutions that drive measurable growth. Your work will span the entire development lifecycle—from conceptualization and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment.

Beyond client projects, you'll contribute to our internal ecosystem by developing tools for our marketing team and creating micro-applications on top of our AI stack. Given your background in bridging marketing and engineering, you'll find this blend of external and internal development particularly aligned with your experience.

The Ideal Candidate

Beyond meeting the technical requirements, the ideal Client Operations Engineer is someone who gets energized by variety and problem-solving. You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats—from frontend developer to AI workflow engineer and Vibe Coder. Your experience in technical SEO or growth marketing has likely taught you to think systematically about complex problems, optimize for measurable outcomes, and work at the intersection of technical implementation and business growth.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days will look exactly alike in this position. One week you might be updating our website and micro-apps, the next you could be deep in development of a client-specific application that spans several months. You might spend a day configuring LLMs to power a new AI workflow, then pivot to building an internal tool that streamlines our operations—similar to the custom tools and applications you've built for SEO and growth optimization.

Technical Expectations

We're looking for engineers (5+ years of experience) with comprehensive technical expertise. Your technical toolkit should include:

  • A background in SEO/AEO, Growth Engineering, Markeing roles, or creating custom growth tools

  • Advanced JavaScript proficiency with React/TypeScript experience

  • A bBackground in SEO/AEO, growth engineering, Mmarketing roles, OR, or creating custom growth tools

  • Experience prompt engineering or vibe coding

  • Comfortable integrating with and configuring LLMs and AI systems

  • Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns

Nice to Have:
  • Experience building Gen AI/LLM-based products

  • Backend development experience (Ruby on Rails preferred, but Python or Node also welcomed)

  • Experience in testing and Quality Assurance

Beyond the Technical:

Technical skills form the foundation, but success in this role requires more. Ideal candidates:

  • Strong Understanding of content, growth, and automation

  • Can translate complex technical concepts into clear solutions for cross-functional teams

  • Ability to QA non-deterministic outputs and adjust prompts as needed

  • Take ownership of their work with minimal oversight

  • Thrive under shifting priorities and occasional tight deadlines

  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and technical teams

  • Adapt quickly to new technologies and changing requirements

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with flexible scheduling, though we require at least 4 hours of overlap with US Pacific Time for synchronous collaboration.
