You will join a multinational, multifaceted, collaborative, and highly motivated Graphics Hardware Architecture team in Central Technology. You will help craft the direction of our world-leading Mali™ Graphics products. The Mali™ Graphics Processor is the #1 shipping GPU.
Job Description:
You will need to have architecture and hardware/software development skills, together with the capacity for creative thought. In this capacity, you can expect to collaborate with leading GPU Architects to build prototype architectural improvements, as well as validate and put forward innovative architecture ideas. Your role will be significant and support Arm in delivering advanced future GPU IPs for the coming generations.
Responsibilities:
Your job responsibilities will be diverse including architecture, technology research, hands-on prototyping, experimental investigations, engaging with product groups, analyzing performance of various gaming and GPGPU workloads. You will work closely with the engineering team to deliver world class IP.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or applicable professional background with more than 6 years of industry experience, of which a minimum of 2 years includes GPU-related work
  • MS degree and more than 4 years of related professional experience, with no less than 2 years dedicated to working with GPUs
  • PhD degree with at least 2 years of experience working on GPUs (in either industry or academia)
  • Knowledge of the graphics pipeline
  • Knowledge of GPU architectures, including the fixed function units needed for graphics processing
  • A clear grasp of the compromises involved between GPU and CPU architectures
  • A history of thinking creatively and communicating effectively, with a practical, organized and analytical approach to work
  • A good academic experience and background in computer architecture
  • A strong programming ability, with skills in C, C++, with the desire to learn new programming flows
  • An ability to efficiently work with large codebases and debug complex problems
  • Excellent team working skills, self-motivated and results focused

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of graphics and compute APIs for GPUs (OpenGL, Vulkan, DX, OpenCL, CUDA, etc.)
  • Previous experience in performance modeling or architecture
  • Background in developing timing-accurate simulators
  • Performance analysis of workloads to determine bottlenecks within the system
  • Experience in hardware/software codesign, particularly within GPU drivers and GPU interfaces
  • System-level knowledge of how accelerators communicate and transfer data with the host CPU

Salary Range:
$161,500-$218,500 per year
