We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to drive product impact in our Growth & Personalization Team, focusing on backend development and machine learning for our credit-building product.

Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, 56 times larger than GPUs. Our novel wafer-scale architecture provides the AI compute power of dozens of GPUs on a single chip, with the programming simplicity of a single device. This approach allows Cerebras to deliver industry-leading training and inference speeds and empowers machine learning users to effortlessly run large-scale ML applications, without the hassle of managing hundreds of GPUs or TPUs.

Cerebras' current customers include global corporations across multiple industries, national labs, and top-tier healthcare systems. In January, we announced a multi-year, multi-million-dollar partnership with Mayo Clinic, underscoring our commitment to transforming AI applications across various fields. In August, we launched Cerebras Inference, the fastest Generative AI inference solution in the world, over 10 times faster than GPU-based hyperscale cloud inference services.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Growth Engineer to help drive adoption of the world’s fastest AI inference API.

This role is ideal for former founders and builders who thrive in high-growth environments, love working at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market, and can move seamlessly between technical implementation and business impact. You’ll be responsible for driving adoption of Cerebras Inference across the startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Develop & Optimize Self-Serve Onboarding → Build onboarding experiences to make it effortless for users to get started with Cerebras Inference.
  • Drive Growth Through Engineering → Build internal tools, refine developer workflows, and create optimizations that increase activation and retention.
  • Work Cross-Functionally → Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align technical and go-to-market efforts.
  • Support & Improve the Developer Experience → Work with customers and internal teams to identify friction points and make the API even easier to use.
  • Analyze & Iterate → Use data and user feedback to continuously refine onboarding and product adoption strategies.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Experience with APIs, developer platforms, or AI infrastructure.
  • Former founders, builders, or engineers with a growth mindset are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for action—you ship fast and iterate.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
