About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Senior Hardware Product Manager to bridge the gap between complex hardware systems and scalable operational excellence. This role is hybrid based in Palo Alto, CA OR Dallas, TX.  As a Product Manager, you will be the linchpin between our engineering, operations, and commercial teams, driving cross functional objectives from vision to completion. From defining next-generation concepts of operations to determining hardware trades in packaging or charging infrastructure, your work will directly enable Wing to serve millions of customers. Supporting new and existing customers, you will work across the company to expand our current offerings while maintaining high delivery speed and reliability. 

The ideal candidate has experience in the trenches of engineering complex hardware products or hardware operations, in addition to product strategy or business analytics. The successful candidate has the ability to rapidly simplify complex topics, and drives data-driven decisions within a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Drive strategic roadmaps for key hardware programs, working across teams to deliver clear, data-driven requirements, success metrics, and robust decisions
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to implement automation and reduce operational friction, directly impacting key business metrics
  • Analyze customer pipeline and match hardware product lifecycles for upcoming launches
  • Collaborate across the entire organization – including Engineering, Flight Ops, Supply Chain, Partnerships, and UX - to align technical efforts with business strategy
  • Lead crossfunctional teams to make high-stakes tradeoff decisions in order to keep programs moving at speed against aggressive business targets
  • Analyze operational data and market feedback to identify design opportunities and process flaws, ensuring continuous improvement in network performance

What You’ll Need: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management or equivalent practical experience building/shipping complex hardware products
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • A strong background in hardware engineering (mechanical or electrical) or operations management is preferred; the successful candidate will have comfort working with engineering teams on complex products and understanding the constraints of hardware development cycles
  • A proven track record of taking ambiguous challenges and translating them into concrete, executable product roadmaps
  • A data-driven mindset to ground technical & operational decisions through a business lens is required
  • Experience launching “0 to 1” hardware products in a regulated environment is preferred
  • Ability to influence cross functional teams & executive decision makers in a collaborative environment including building consensus across technical and non technical teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to a range of both technical & non-technical audiences
