Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Inside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth, manage key customer accounts, and support new business development efforts within the food ingredient and agricultural processing sector. This role partners closely with operations, logistics, and leadership to deliver exceptional service and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Inside Sales Representative
Serve as the primary internal point of contact for established customer accounts, ensuring timely fulfillment, issue resolution, and strong relationship management.
Prospect and qualify new business opportunities, with an emphasis on strategic growth and margin improvement.
Prepare sales quotes, proposals, forecasts, and pricing recommendations based on established business rules and market demand.
Partner with production and supply chain to monitor inventory, lead times, and order fulfillment.
Maintain comprehensive customer records in CRM systems, tracking activity, communication, and pipeline data.
Monitor industry trends and customer demand to support sales strategy and business planning.
Negotiate commercial terms within approved pricing guidelines.
Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and supplier meetings as required.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement within the sales process.
Qualifications of the Senior Inside Sales Representative
5+ years of inside sales or customer account management experience; food, agriculture, ingredients, or manufacturing sales preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to influence purchasing decisions and close business.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across diverse customer profiles.
Familiarity with CRM platforms, forecasting tools, and ERP/inventory systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high customer interaction.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience.
