Afar is seeking a Senior Integrated Marketing Manager to join the Sales and Marketing team. In this role, you'll develop the programs, go-to-market strategy, and unique selling proposition for the Afar brand, building awareness and demand for our advertising programs and platforms. You'll create content and product-led programs that combine industry-leading ideas with the Afar brand ethos to engage audiences and drive results for our advertising partners.

You'll partner with senior sales leads and lead cross-team initiatives to identify and develop revenue-driving opportunities across all media platforms, including podcast, social, video, email, events, digital, and print. You'll also work closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine our offerings, uncover new products, and build new initiatives.

We're looking for someone adaptable and innovative, with a strong handle on the rapidly evolving media and marketing landscape, who is naturally collaborative and proactive.

Responsibilities

    • Develop high-impact content marketing and media campaigns for advertisers across digital, print, mobile, video, audio, social, and event/experiential platforms, including ideation and strategic proposal writing

    • Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned categories and accounts — developing sales opportunities, insights, and trend analysis — and communicate learnings and ideas to the sales and marketing teams

    • Work as an effective cross-functional partner with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing Activations, Ad Ops, Brand Marketing, Editorial, and Events

    • Build industry partnerships that enhance Afar's marketing solutions and capabilities

    • Partner with the Marketing Activations and Ad Operations teams to understand campaign performance and establish best practices for pitching, pricing, and packaging marketing solutions

    • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing Activations to ensure a consistent pre-to-post-sale transition

    • Attend sales calls and present marketing programs and proposals directly to clients and agencies

    • Create sell sheets, presentations, and other materials that position and sell Afar's marketing solutions to the advertising, media, and travel industries

Required Qualifications

    • 5-7+ years of integrated marketing experience

    • Strong marketing and proposal writing skills, with clear, concise oral and written communication and the ability to develop ideas strategically

    • Comfortable working closely with and presenting to clients and agencies

    • Strong knowledge of current digital, social, podcast, and mobile advertising platforms, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day work

    • Self-starter who sets priorities, takes ownership of new projects, and drives progress with full accountability

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience with digital platforms and web technologies

    • Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote, and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Familiarity with Asana

    • B.A. or equivalent experience
