HiveWatch is a tech-forward, inclusive organization fostering the evolution of the physical security industry. We are a diverse team of forward thinkers who empower each other to find creative and collaborative solutions in an industry ripe for modernization. We are passionate about the problems we’re solving for our customers and equally passionate about the company we’re building.

HiveWatch is here to help security teams pivot from chasing threats to preventing them. We protect organizations, people, and property through the intelligent orchestration of physical security programs. With better communication, more insights, and less “noise”, we are modernizing what it means for businesses and their employees to truly feel safe.

About The Role:

As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you own corporate IT end-to-end - from Google Workspace and endpoint management to engineering enablement and cybersecurity partnership. You’ll be the technical authority on internal infrastructure, partnering with Engineering on security initiatives and ensuring our growing team has the tools and access they need to deliver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer business productivity software (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) including access, policy configuration, and license management
  • Drive IT projects independently from scoping through delivery
  • Manage endpoints via MDM ensuring adherence to device policy
  • Gather information to chase an issue to resolution, even when unfamiliar. Leveraging and understanding logs, opening tickets with service providers, and keeping affected parties apprised.
  • Triage and resolve internal IT requests, balancing reactive work with proactive improvements.
  • Support the HQ technology stack including wireless networks, presentation equipment, conference rooms, phones, and printers.
  • Own engineering tooling provisioning and licensing (GitHub, SaaS access)
  • Administer cloud IAM (AWS, GCP) for non-production access — provisioning, group management, access reviews
  • Partner with Engineering on security initiatives — SOC 2 evidence collection, IAM access reviews, endpoint security posture
  • Support VPN and internal tooling that engineering depends on
  • Create and deliver documentation regarding best practices and configuration changes
  • Work from our headquarters in El Segundo, CA
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of technical support experience for SMBs, whether internal or as an external consultant (MSP)
    • A wide knowledge of troubleshooting principles, best practices, and premier support skills
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience recommending the right solution to complex challenges
  • Experience with one or more IAM tools with a strong understanding of SSO, provisioning, as well as application and group management
  • Demonstrated experience working alongside security/compliance teams on SOC 2 or similar
  • Strong MacOS background and experience supporting Windows environments (physical and virtual endpoints)
  • Experience working with on-prem virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, AHV, etc.)
  • Experience working in one or more major cloud provider environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience troubleshooting networks (configuring routing, firewall rules & virtual private networks)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders
  • Strong time management, organizational, written and verbal skills
Additional Qualifications:
  • Startup experience and/or early stage SaaS experience
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or similar government security frameworks
  • Direct experience supporting a GSOC or SOC environment
  • Low voltage & cabling experience

Additional Info:

  • Base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 USD per year
  • Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan

*The final offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of relevant experience and expertise, location, and other business considerations.
