About this role 

We have something other delivery apps don’t have: exclusive partnerships with some of the largest and most popular restaurants in Canada. More and more brands each day, both independent and national chains, choose to deliver with Skip. With your passion for building and managing long-lasting relationships, you’ll help us continue to expand our reach while setting our partners up for success. You’ll also create a continuous, irresistible value that keeps everyone satisfied.

As a Senior Key Account Manager, you’ll be the bridge between SKIP and the head offices of our national restaurant partners and independent local legends. These are large-scale B2B partnerships with national restaurant brands covering large territories with multiple locations from coast to coast, as well as key independent brands. You’ll be building long-term relationships that are mutually beneficial and growth-oriented. Strong business acumen is a must in order to develop strategies, present insights, and communicate effectively to solve problems as they arise. Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Winnipeg office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Associate Director, Regional Partnerships

These are some of the key ingredients to the role: 
  • Build effective relationships with key partners to enhance collaboration and understanding

  • Coaching partners on network best practices and optimization opportunities

  • Build lasting relationships with partners, driving mutually-beneficial value by understanding their unique needs and challenges.

  • Determine and execute upon the needs and interests of our partner brands

  • Leverage data and trends to leverage actionable insights in favour of optimizing your partners’ success on the Skip network

  • Proactively seek to find creative solutions to meet internal brand performance KPIs

  • Handle and respond to objections with transparency and support

  • Establish credibility and rapport with existing partners, communicating industry, delivery and Skip updates to your contacts

  • Use effective techniques to explicitly understand partners needs

  • Effectively articulate the advantages of an idea or plan to partnered national chains and independent brands across Canada. 

  • Demonstrate effective time management

  • Present yourself professionally as an exceptional brand ambassador

  • Internal and cross functional stakeholder management to effectively drive projects to completion

What will you bring to the table? 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in partnerships/account management

  • Strong business acumen is a must

  • Strong relationship-building skills, leading with empathy and transparency

  • Experience in sales and coaching others

  • Able to understand and communicate data, insights and trends

  • Project management experience; working cross-functionally with internal and external partners to bring marketing and growth initiatives to life

  • Hold yourself to a high standard of integrity

  • Have a positive and impactful personality

  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment 

  • Exceptional communication skills, additional languages considered an asset
