The role of Senior Leadership Development Manager has a critical role to play in the next phase of MongoDB's growth. You will help identify critical skills of the future, design innovative learning experiences and ensure that our People Managers, with special attention to our director-population, are continuously developing the capabilities they need to succeed in a fast-changing environment. You will design, build, and scale learning experiences that will enable people managers to live our values, serve our customers, and ultimately strengthen culture and accelerate performance. This role is part of the Culture, Talent, and Development (CTD) leadership team. As a team, we are responsible for culture and talent building programs, including leadership development, employee learning, talent management, engagement, listening, and inclusion. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: 
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate scalable leadership development experiences, tools, and resources for people managers through direct delivery, internal facilitators, senior-leader faculty, train-the-trainer strategies, on-demand learning, and AI-supported experiences
  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of a director-level leadership development program serving more than 500 leaders, including scalable solutions for enrollment, participant and manager accountability, and impact measurement
  • Conduct needs assessments and align program deliverables, priorities, and resources with business objectives and broader People Team initiatives
  • Extend learning beyond the classroom through practice, reflection, peer connection, manager accountability, real-work application, and sustained reinforcement; drive participation and enable partner teams to embed leadership development into existing experiences
  • Establish and execute a practical measurement approach spanning participation, completion, learner experience, application, behavior change, talent readiness, and relevant business indicators; analyze data and communicate recommendations
  • Orchestrate concurrent projects and stakeholder relationships by clarifying ownership, timelines, resources, risks, constraints, dependencies, and change-management impacts to drive priority-based decisions
  • Partner with IT and People Team stakeholders to co-build, evaluate, and responsibly scale AI-supported coaching, just-in-time practice, and other technology-enabled development experiences for diverse audiences
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of professional experience with 5+ years of experience designing, delivering, and managing leadership development programs; balancing best practices with practicality
  • Strong track record of delivering strategic and tactical solutions in fast-paced, high-change environments, preferably in SaaS
  • Proven ability to design and scale development experiences for directors, senior directors, executives, and other experienced leaders
  • Adept at conducting needs assessments and analyzing data to identify development priorities, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellence in learner experience, instructional, and program design across live, virtual, hybrid, on-demand, self-paced, peer-learning, and applied-practice formats
  • Expert facilitation skills and deep subject matter expertise deep in leadership development and core leadership and management capabilities
  • Experience designing for behavior change and building scalable delivery models that extend learning beyond one-off events
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and project management skills, with a track record of delivering multiple concurrent initiatives on time and within scope
  • Strong ability to influence without authority, lead cross-functional work, engage senior stakeholders, and deliver pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced technology environment
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years experience coaching Senior Leaders, preferably in the high growth tech industry
  • Holds a coaching certification from ICF, CPCC, Hogan, or comparable coaching accreditation
  • Previous experience managing people in a direct manager capacity 
  • Experience leveraging AI-supported platforms to scale and optimize training initiatives

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$76,000$149,000 USD
