Job Summary & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, refine, and deploy AI Agents and AI-powered solutions to support legal tasks, including high-touch assistance with prompt engineering and the development of automated legal workflows.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between the Legal Department and the Technology/IT teams to ensure AI tools and services are effectively meeting the needs of Newegg’s attorneys and business units.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in generative AI and LegalTech. Proactively identify and pilot new tools (Proof of Concept), conducting objective evaluations against incumbent products.
  • Act as a dedicated resource for internal legal teams seeking AI support. Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions on the creative and practical uses of AI in corporate legal practice.
  • Standardize and scale successful AI solutions across various practice groups (e.g., IP, Employment, Commercial Contracts) in collaboration with firm leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing technology-related policies and strategic deployments of efficient processes, ensuring the protection of highly sensitive, confidential, and privileged proprietary information.
  • Foster relationships with AI vendors and industry thought leaders to ensure Newegg maintains a state-of-the-art legal technology platform.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical legal professionals.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in AI Agent operation, including prompt design, refinement, and a deep understanding of LLM capabilities.
  • Exhibit a creative and proactive mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, service-oriented corporate environment.
  • Have a solid understanding of product management concepts (scoping, UI/UX basics, and user testing) as they apply to LegalTech.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active admission to a U.S. State Bar (California preferred).
  • Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in a high-level Legal Operations role.
  • AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience in AI project work and AI Agent management, with a proven track record of implementing legal technology or innovation initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in enterprise applications and familiarity with LegalTech product categories.
