Who We Are

Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! We have lofty goals (to make every dog in the country healthier, and every pet parent happier!) and we are looking for the right people to help us get there. This is an exciting opportunity to join a VC-backed, high-growth e-commerce startup and have an outsized impact in an extremely fast-paced environment. Plus, you get to think about dogs all day!

Who You Are

You are curious, detail-oriented, and excel at using lifecycle and retention marketing skills to build experiences that keep customers coming back. You love digging into what drives retention and turning it into thoughtful, well-built email and SMS programs. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and understand the importance of connecting the dots between customer needs, business goals, and the data behind them.

As a Senior LCM Associate on Spot & Tango's Lifecycle & Retention Marketing team, you will own lifecycle strategy and execution across a set of our product lines, running email and SMS end to end in Klaviyo from creative brief through build, QA, deployment, and optimization. You will partner cross-functionally with designers, analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to build programs that turn a first order into a long-term one, including the opportunity to design and launch new lifecycle programs from scratch. This is an exciting opportunity to drive immediate impact at a leading pet health & wellness brand.

Responsibilities

  • Own lifecycle strategy, execution, and the calendar and testing roadmap for your product lines
  • Design and build new automated flows and campaign sends, and launch new lifecycle programs where none exist today
  • Execute email and SMS end to end in Klaviyo: build, QA, schedule, and deploy
  • Set up audiences, segments, and activity filters, and run full QA before every send, including links, dynamic content, cross-client rendering, and suppression and exclusion logic
  • Own list health and deliverability, and keep email and SMS compliant with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and consent best practice
  • Partner with Design on clear creative briefs, and review creative against brand voice and deliverability standards before handoff
  • Map the customer journey and identify gaps in flow coverage across onboarding, retention, and winback
  • Own the metrics that matter to the business (retention, repeat purchase, and revenue from lifecycle), and design tests that isolate what you are trying to learn and read results with an eye for significance
  • Work cross-functionally with creative, analytics, and product to get programs built and measured

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or email marketing, ideally at a DTC or subscription business
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable ESP
  • Strong attention to detail and QA discipline
  • Comfortable working in BI tools (Looker, Omni, or similar) to pull and analyze performance data
  • Fluent with AI tools and using them to do more: analyzing performance, automating reporting, and building strategy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A builder's mindset, comfortable owning programs end to end and creating structure where there isn't any yet
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and willing to take ownership to push projects over the finish line

This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown Manhattan office.

In-office presence is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
