The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on lifecycle marketer who is curious about client behavior and excited by the opportunity to turn data into action. They are analytical, collaborative, and comfortable moving between strategy and execution, from identifying an opportunity to building a campaign, measuring its impact, and applying those learnings to what comes next.

Lifecycle Strategy & Growth

  • Own lifecycle marketing strategy across key stages of the client journey, including onboarding, engagement, retention, repeat visits, service adoption, reactivation, and win-back.

  • Use client behavior, pet and service data, campaign performance, and business priorities to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Create scalable approaches that can work effectively across our hospital network while allowing for relevant local and client-level personalization.

Segmentation, Automation & Campaign Execution

  • Develop audience and segmentation strategies using client behavior, pet characteristics, service history, engagement, location, and other relevant signals.

  • Build, launch, and optimize lifecycle campaigns and automated journeys across email, SMS, and other owned communication channels.

  • Create trigger-based programs that respond to meaningful moments in the client journey, including onboarding, preventive care needs, upcoming visits, retention opportunities, and reactivation.

  • Partner with Creative to develop and evolve best-in-class email templates, with hands-on responsibility for HTML development, campaign builds, QA, and deployment within our marketing platform.

  • Build scalable campaign processes, templates, and best practices that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of lifecycle marketing.

Testing, Measurement & Optimization

  • Lead a structured test-and-learn approach across audiences, messaging, creative, offers, channels, timing, and customer journeys.

  • Design and execute A/B and other marketing tests with clear hypotheses and measurement plans.

  • Track lifecycle performance across engagement, conversion, retention, reactivation, and other key business outcomes.

  • Partner with Data Analytics to understand campaign impact, identify what is influencing client behavior, and uncover opportunities for optimization.

  • Turn performance and testing results into clear learnings and recommendations that improve future campaigns and programs.

Marketing Technology & Data

  • Serve as a hands-on owner and subject-matter expert for our lifecycle marketing and customer engagement platforms.

  • Partner with Data Analytics team to ensure client data supports accurate segmentation, personalization, automation, and measurement.

  • Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle capabilities through new data, integrations, automation, and platform functionality.

  • Maintain strong email and SMS best practices, including consent management, list hygiene, deliverability, and sender reputation.

Collaboration

  • Develop a strong understanding of the veterinary client journey and hospital operations to ensure programs work for both clients and hospital teams.

  • Communicate clearly about lifecycle strategy, campaign performance, priorities, learnings, and opportunities.

  • Bring a curious, solutions-oriented approach to evolving our lifecycle marketing program and identifying new ways to support hospital growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

  • 4-6+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention marketing, customer engagement, growth marketing, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience building lifecycle programs that improve retention, repeat purchase or visit behavior, reactivation, engagement, or customer lifetime value.

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation or customer engagement platforms such as Klaviyo, Braze, Adobe, or similar platforms.
