We are looking for a high-performing, highly motivated Senior Manager, Accounting, who wants to take their career to the next level. You will lead critical initiatives across technical accounting, process improvement, audit readiness, and team development—helping to lay the foundation for a world-class accounting department.
The Senior Manager, Accounting, will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead a small team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role will focus on managing core processes, improving efficiency, and supporting the company’s growth through strong financial controls and timely reporting.
What You Will Do:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare the organization for its first audit by establishing documentation standards, internal controls, and support schedules; review accounting entries for accuracy; and create robust templates, checklists, and working papers to support ongoing audit readiness.
- Build and refine scalable SOPs, streamline workflows, and ensure systems and data flows stay efficient as the business and team grows.
- Review variance analyses and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy.
- Implement and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax and regulatory requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR and other teams to align financial processes and strengthen day-to-day collaboration.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting function.
What You Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role (healthcare industry experience a plus).
- Public accounting and/or Big 4 audit experience Is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong excel skills, proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 –$170,000 annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions. Compensation discussions are encouraged throughout the hiring process.
