The Role:
Apryse is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Transformation to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives that drive meaningful business outcomes across the organization. This is not a traditional PMO role and not a technical Business Systems role. We are looking for a senior, hands-on transformation leader who can take a business problem once the direction and desired outcomes are aligned, and independently drive execution through completion.
This individual will own multiple high-impact programs simultaneously, create structure where it does not yet exist, connect business and technical workstreams, maintain a reliable source of truth, proactively surface risks and decisions, and keep initiatives moving forward with minimal oversight. Initially leading a small team, this is a true player-coach role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives from problem definition through execution and adoption.
- Independently organize and drive workstreams, dependencies, decisions, risks, and stakeholder alignment in ambiguous environments.
- Establish program structures, governance models, operating cadences, and execution frameworks where none currently exist.
- Bridge business and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities, requirements, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, RAID logs, decision logs, ownership matrices, and executive reporting.
- Facilitate working sessions, drive decision-making, and ensure accountability across multiple functional teams.
- Partner directly with senior leaders, VPs, and executive stakeholders to communicate progress, escalate risks, and resolve roadblocks.
- Support user acceptance testing, readiness planning, business enablement, and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of change.
- Personally contribute to project planning, documentation, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and execution activities as needed.
- Coach and mentor project management and business analysis team members, helping establish strong execution discipline and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners to drive transformation outcomes.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience leading complex business transformation, program management, operational excellence, or strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to independently lead large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Strong business problem-solving skills with the ability to distinguish root causes, business requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Experience designing and improving business processes and operating models to support future-state outcomes.
- Excellent program and project management discipline, including management of plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and drive alignment.
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on leader who is equally willing to build project plans, facilitate workshops, analyze issues, and drive execution.
- Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching project managers and business analysts.
- Strong understanding of CRM, SaaS, data, integration, and enterprise systems environments, with the ability to work effectively alongside technical teams and solution architects.
- Highly organized, execution-focused, and able to manage multiple concurrent programs and priorities.
Nice To Haves:
- Experience leading post-acquisition integrations, carve-outs, or broader M&A and operational integration initiatives.
- PMO creation and operating model experience, including establishing governance frameworks, portfolio management processes, templates, and execution standards.
- Background in data analytics, process analytics, or KPI-driven transformation programs.
- Experience working within private equity-backed, high-growth, or rapidly changing software organizations.
- Vendor, consultant, and implementation partner management experience.
- Change management, organizational readiness, and business adoption experience.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and ecosystems such as CRM, ERP, business systems, integrations, and workflow automation tools.
Compensation Philosophy
The compensation for this position is commensurate upon experience, and the range listed reflects total compensation or on target earnings. The top end of the range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience and a profile that strongly aligns with the senior expectations of this role.
