Company Description

We are seeking a senior finance leader to own and drive company-wide financial governance for New Product Introduction (NPI). This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Product Groups, Engineering, IT, and Executive Management, and plays a critical role in ensuring that investment decisions for new products are financially sound, consistent, and scalable across the organization.

This position goes beyond traditional controlling. The successful candidate will design, standardize, and continuously improve NPI financial processes, enabling informed decision-making from early concept through executive approval.

Job Description

NPI Financial Governance

· Own and govern financial processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) across all Product Groups

· Lead NPI ROI evaluation, cost modeling, and forward cost estimation

· Define and maintain hurdle rates and escalation criteria to support disciplined investment decisions

Executive & Decision Support

· Provide robust financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and Executive Committee (EC)

· Support EC-level reviews, business cases, and escalation topics related to NPI investments

· Ensure financial assumptions are transparent, consistent, and decision-ready

Process & Tool Leadership

· Drive standardization and automation of NPI financial workflows and tools

· Partner with IT to translate business requirements into scalable systems (e.g., ROI tools, cost estimation tools, PPM solutions, reporting platforms)

· Ensure tools are practical, adopted by the organization, and continuously improved

Cross-Functional Leadership

· Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Product Groups, Engineering, Procurement, and IT

· Influence stakeholders without direct authority and build alignment across diverse global teams

· Act as a bridge between technical organizations and finance, translating complexity into actionable insights

Qualifications

Experience & Expertise

· 15+ years of experience in Finance, Controlling, FP&A, or related roles

· Strong experience in product-based semiconductor businesses, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments

· Hands-on experience with NPI, product investment analysis, cost modeling, or business case evaluation

· Proven ability to support senior leadership and executive-level decision making

Core Skills

· Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

· Ability to design and improve end-to-end business processes, not just analyze results

· Experience working with financial systems, data platforms, and reporting tools

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial topics clearly

Leadership & Mindset

· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without formal authority

· Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments

· Proactive, hands-on, and capable of driving change

Language

· Business-level English required (written and verbal)

· Japanese proficiency preferred
