Your role at a glance

The Senior Manager, Global HRIS - Total Rewards & PATT is an HR technology leader accountable for governing the Workday strategy, roadmap, portfolio, and operating model for Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Workday Help, and related People & Culture processes.
This role provides portfolio leadership across high-impact HRIS initiatives, establishing governance standards, prioritization mechanisms, controls, and decision frameworks that ensure Workday investments are aligned to enterprise priorities, compliant operations, operational resilience, and scalable service delivery. The position partners consultatively with Payroll, Total Rewards, HR Services, HR Compliance, People & Culture, Finance, and external vendors to translate complex business needs into secure, sustainable, and well-documented Workday solutions while leading HRIS analysts and driving accountability for delivery outcomes.

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

Functional Ownership & Optimization

  • Own the execution of our Workday roadmap, governance model, configuration strategy, and operational support portfolio for Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Help.
  • Lead complex Workday configuration, business process design, enhancements, releases, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process standardization, automation, data integrity, controls, compliance, and user experience improvements.
  • Evaluate downstream impacts across integrations, reporting, security, payroll processing, employee experience, and operational controls.

Payroll and Total Rewards Operations

  • Ensure Workday effectively supports payroll, compensation, benefits, time, leave and absence processes with a focus on accuracy, auditability, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, bonus calculations, open enrollment, payroll-impacting changes, time and absence rule updates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a senior consultative partner by diagnosing root causes, identifying scalable Workday solutions, and balancing operational needs with long-term system governance.

Governance, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accountability for data quality, configuration integrity, testing standards, documentation, and governance processes within assigned domains.
  • Ensure enhancements and configuration changes comply with established HRIS governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audits, control reviews, and compliance initiatives through accurate documentation, testing evidence, and change management practices.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead HRIS projects and vendor engagements from discovery and requirements through design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and support.
  • Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, stakeholder communications, resource needs, and delivery outcomes with strong follow-through.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Payroll, Total Rewards, Finance, and People & Culture leaders through structured problem solving and clear recommendations.
  • Apply strategic and critical thinking to assess trade-offs, anticipate impacts, and recommend scalable, sustainable solutions.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop HRIS analysts, setting clear priorities, expectations, delivery standards, and accountability measures.
  • Build team capability in Workday configuration, analytical problem solving, documentation, testing, stakeholder consultation, and production support.
  • Foster collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, service excellence, data integrity, confidentiality, and operational risk awareness.
  • Hold the team accountable for delivery quality, service responsiveness, issue resolution, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Manage team capacity, competing priorities, enhancements, releases, and production support through effective planning, delegation, and escalation.
  • Align team objectives and delivery outcomes with broader HR technology strategy and business priorities.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Deep hands-on Workday configuration expertise across Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking, including business process design, condition rules, eligibility rules, calculated fields, testing, and release impact assessment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, total rewards, time and absence administration, HR data governance, compliance, audit controls, and integration dependencies.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, analytics, integrations, releases, tenant management, regression testing, documentation, and production support.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with ability to identify risks, validate configuration outcomes, document decisions, and ensure accuracy across complex processes.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Consultative communication style with the ability to clarify needs, influence stakeholders, and translate complex requirements into practical Workday solutions.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities in a complex, global environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to data confidentiality, security, and responsible HR technology governance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Workday certification or Workday Pro accreditation preferred.
  • 9+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including hands-on Workday configuration, business process design, testing, release management, production support, and functional ownership across Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking required.
  • 4+ years of progressive leadership experience leading, coaching, developing, and holding HRIS teams accountable for delivery and service excellence.
  • Experience supporting global HR, payroll, total rewards, time and absence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking in solution design, balancing configuration detail, process dependencies, data impacts, compliance, user experience, and scalability.
  • Proven project management experience leading HR technology initiatives, including planning, prioritization, testing, change management, deployment, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.

Compensation Pay Range

For roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.


This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.


NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is:

$139,700 - $199,500

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
