The Senior Manager, Global Legal Operations & Innovation will lead strategic initiatives that strengthen how the Global Legal team delivers support across Levi Strauss & Co. You will combine legal operations, technology, AI, data, and process excellence to build scalable solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, and decision-making across the function.

Working closely with legal leaders, business stakeholders, and global teams, you will oversee the evolution of the legal technology ecosystem, drive the adoption of AI-enabled solutions, and identify opportunities to simplify and standardize legal processes worldwide. You will play a key part in shaping the future operating model of the Global Legal organization, enabling the team to deliver greater value as the business continues to evolve.

 

About the Job 

  • Lead initiatives that improve the effectiveness, scalability, and operational performance of the Global Legal function.

  • Develop and implement legal operations strategies, workflows, playbooks, governance models, and self-service resources that enable consistent support across regions.

  • Own the administration, optimization, and evolution of the legal technology ecosystem, including contract lifecycle management, legal AI, knowledge management, matter management, and related platforms.

  • Partner with legal leaders and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to automate processes, standardize work, and improve service delivery.

  • Build and execute legal innovation initiatives that leverage AI, data, technology, and process redesign to transform how legal work is performed.

  • Drive the global expansion, adoption, and continuous enhancement of the Ironclad contract lifecycle management platform.

  • Establish frameworks for knowledge management, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the legal department.

  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies and solutions that enhance legal team productivity and business impact.

  • Lead cross-functional projects from strategy through execution while managing stakeholder alignment, communication, and change adoption.

  • Manage and develop legal operations resources while building scalable capabilities to support the long-term growth of the function.

  • You will report to the Chief Counsel, AMA.

 

About You 

  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in legal operations supporting in-house legal departments, law firms, legal technology providers, or other legal-focused organizations.

  • Hands-on knowledge of legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management systems such as Ironclad and related legal operations tools.

  • A track record of improving processes, implementing technology, and driving initiatives related to automation, knowledge management, and operational effectiveness.

  • Familiarity with AI use cases, emerging technologies, and opportunities to improve how legal teams deliver work and support the business.

  • Lead cross-functional projects and partner effectively with legal, technology, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.

  • An analytical approach to identifying opportunities, measuring performance, and turning data into actionable insights.

  • Success operating in global environments, driving adoption of new ways of working, and delivering scalable solutions across teams and regions.

  • Experience within legal operations, legal technology, law firms, in-house legal departments, or related functions; attorney or JD experience is a plus.

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

 

The expected starting salary range for this role is $135,200 - $198,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
