Job Description

This role leads strategic partnerships, client solutioning, and narrative development for Visa Pay and Visa Accept, working with priority partners such as banks, wallets, fintech's, merchants, and ecosystem enablers. The focus is on shaping compelling client narratives, structuring end‑to‑end solutions, and enabling large, complex partnerships (Bigtech) that accelerate adoption and revenue across Visa’s non‑card and acceptance platforms.

The role operates at the intersection of product strategy, GTM, and client engagement, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Regional Teams, Risk, Legal, and Operations to drive high‑impact partnerships from concept through execution.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own strategic partnership solutioning for Visa Pay and Visa Accept, acting as the primary architect of client value propositions and engagement narratives
  • Develop and deliver specialized client narratives tailored to executive, business, and technical audiences, translating platform capabilities into differentiated business outcomes
  • Partner with Sales and Account Executives on complex, multi‑market deals, supporting pre‑sales strategy, solution design, and executive‑level storytelling
  • Shape partner‑specific and segment‑specific GTM strategies, including banks, wallets, PSPs, merchants, and fintech platforms
  • Serve as a payments and acceptance subject‑matter expert, advising partners on optimal deployment models, use cases, and integration approaches for Visa Pay and Visa Accept
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Risk, Legal, and Operations to structure scalable, compliant partnership solutions
  • Provide structured market, partner, and client insights to influence Visa Pay and Visa Accept roadmap prioritization and platform evolution
  • Support development of repeatable solutioning frameworks, pitch materials, and seller enablement assets to scale partnership success globally

This is a hybrid position in our San Fran office. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA), or 2+ years with a PhD
8+ years of experience in payments, financial services, or fintech, with a focus on strategic partnerships, solutioning, or GTM roles
Demonstrated ability to craft and deliver compelling client narratives that connect product capabilities to client business strategy
Strong experience working cross‑functionally with product, sales, engineering, risk, legal, and operations teams
Proven ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed, ambiguous environments, influencing without direct authority
Proven track record of leading and structuring complex strategic partnerships in the payments or digital commerce ecosystem
Deep subject‑matter expertise in digital payments and acceptance, including debit, credit, wallets, merchant acquiring, and non‑card payment experiences
Strong understanding of payment rails and ecosystems, including RTP, ACH, Instant Payments, card schemes, and merchant acceptance flows
Experience designing end‑to‑end partner solutions that span product capabilities, commercial models, and operational considerations
Ability to synthesize technical and commercial inputs into clear, executive‑ready narratives and recommendations
Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent workstreams across regions, partners, and internal teams
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external executives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for executive storytelling and deal support
Highly execution‑oriented, detail‑driven, and comfortable owning outcomes in fast‑moving environments
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect partner strategy, Visa platform capabilities, and commercial impact
Demonstrated thought leadership, creativity, and innovation, with evidence of driving differentiated partnerships and measurable business results

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 169,100.00 to 270,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
