Primary Focus:

As Senior Manager, Performance Creative Strategy at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are responsible for shaping the strategic priorities, audience opportunities and learning agenda behind Fanatics Markets performance creative. You'll uncover the hooks, angles and fan insights most likely to resonate, translate them into clear, inspiring briefs for the internal creative team, and track performance to understand what works and why. This role connects fan insight, creative development and performance results, ensuring learnings continuously inform future briefs across acquisition, engagement and retention. Markets and Sportsbook share many of the same fans, moments and creative systems, so you'll work in close partnership with the OSB Performance Creative team to align priorities, share learnings and avoid duplicating effort.

This is a six-month contract role reporting to the Senior Director, Performance Creative & GTM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Markets performance creative strategy across paid social, app networks, CTV, affiliates and lifecycle, aligned with business priorities, audience insight and brand positioning.
  • Build and maintain the Markets creative variation framework, mapping hooks, angles, reasons to believe, formats and offers to audience and funnel stage.
  • Translate business objectives and fan insight into clear, inspiring briefs for the internal creative team, including messaging territories, hook hypotheses, angles and iteration briefs.
  • Own the Markets testing agenda, defining what we want to learn, how we measure a win, and which tests run each month.
  • Run a high-velocity testing program across hooks, openers, formats, offers and creators, improving hit rate and speed to learning.
  • Partner with Media and Analytics to track creative performance, identify winners and fatigue early, and apply learnings to the next round of briefs.
  • Write concise test readouts and maintain a living library of what works for Markets audiences, shared with the OSB team so learnings travel across both products.
  • Identify performance territories, audience tensions and messaging opportunities to support creative briefs.
  • Support brand and full-funnel campaign briefs with clear performance requirements, working with Integrated Marketing and Media so channel, audience, format and measurement needs are set before creative development begins. Partner with the Creative Studio to translate those requirements into effective creative, with the Studio retaining ownership of creative direction and execution.
  • Advise Brand and agency partners on hooks, edits, cutdowns, aspect ratios and platform-native versions, so big campaign moments carry through to always-on performance and lifecycle.
  • Source fan insight, competitor ad libraries, creator content and platform trends to identify new angles and white space.
  • Contribute a strong performance POV to creative insight sessions and brainstorms, working closely with the Creative Studio.
  • Share performance learnings and recommendations in GTM forums and monthly reviews.

What You'll Deliver in Six Months:

  • A Markets testing agenda and monthly testing cadence, live within your first 30 days.
  • A documented creative variation framework for Market.
  • A shared testing and learnings rhythm with the OSB Performance Creative team.
  • A steady flow of briefs, tests and written readouts, with winners scaled into the always-on mix.
  • A learnings library and handover documentation so the work continues after the engagement ends.

How This Role Connects Across the Team:

  • Partners closely with the OSB Performance Creative team on shared sport moments, audiences and testing, aligning briefs and calendars, pooling learnings, and adapting proven OSB creative for Market where it fits.
  • Partners with the internal producer, who owns production timelines and delivery, to keep briefs, priorities and the content calendar aligned.
  • Partners with the Creative Studio and Integrated Marketing to shape high-quality output, providing direction and feedback while respecting executional ownership.
  • Partners with Brand and Integrated Marketing to embed performance best practice into campaigns, ensuring work is both distinctive and built to perform across the funnel.
  • Partners with Media, Analytics and CRM to define success measures, read results and feed learnings back into strategy.
  • Partners with the affiliate team on UGC briefs aligned to channel best practice.
  • Works with Legal, Compliance and Creative Operations to keep all creative compliant and aligned with Responsible Gaming standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance creative or brand strategy, ideally within a fast-growing D2C brand, mobile app, sports, gaming or entertainment business.
  • Portfolio demonstrating hook-led, insight-driven creative and the performance results behind it.
  • Strong knowledge of platform-native creative across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap and app networks, including UGC and creator formats.
  • Hands-on experience running creative testing programs at volume.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to read performance data and translate it into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent storytelling and writing skills, from a 6-second hook to a campaign narrative to a performance readout.
  • Experience working across matrixed teams and influencing work you don't directly own.
  • Able to ramp quickly and deliver within a fixed-term engagement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings and Fanatics events.
