We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Lifecycle Management to help enhance and optimize our order-to-report processes for laboratory testing services, driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Lifecycle Management and Digital Products, you will be responsible for driving improvements across the end-to-end order-to-report lifecycle, including test ordering, specimen collection, laboratory processing, customer notifications, and reporting. Your work will directly support our mission to improve transplant patient outcomes through better customer and operational experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Process Execution

  • Drive the execution of product and process improvements across the order-to-report lifecycle, ensuring alignment with defined business objectives and customer needs.
  • Partner with senior product leadership to support roadmap development and prioritization related to order-to-report capabilities.

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Assess, document, and improve order-to-report workflows and UX/UI, including ordering portals and EMR integrations, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear software requirements specifications and user stories.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental innovation and operational improvements using best practices and data-driven insights.

User & Customer Engagement

  • Engage directly with healthcare practitioners and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and understand user pain points.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in product discussions, ensuring solutions address real-world clinical and operational needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product lifecycle management, engineering, IT, customer service, lab operations, and commercial teams to deliver enhancements effectively.
  • Coordinate dependencies, timelines, and deliverables across teams to ensure successful implementation.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order-to-report processes, including customer satisfaction, turnaround time, and operational efficiency.
  • Use data and insights to recommend improvements and support continuous optimization efforts.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer experience, operations, or process improvement related to order-to-cash/order-to-report processes in a clinical diagnostic laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management for software or digital products.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory workflows and testing services.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in process improvement and requirements definition.
  • Familiarity with UX research, data analytics, and performance measurement.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Jira, ProductBoard, Figma/Miro, Lucidchart, or similar.

This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Brisbane, California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
