The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in SaaS revenue accounting with strong operational leadership and a passion for building scalable processes that support growth and acquisitions. From the signed order form through revenue recognition, this leader ensures that customer contracts are accurately structured, processed, billed, recognized, reported, and renewed. As the company grows through acquisitions and new product offerings, this role will be instrumental in maintaining revenue integrity while building scalable processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company's primary subject matter expert on ASC 606 and ASC 340-40.
  • Partner closely with Technical Accounting on complex arrangements, new product launches, acquisitions, and non-standard deal structures.
  • Own royalties accounting, including accrual methodology, partner reconciliations, and OEM/reseller settlements.

Contract Management & Billing Operations

  • Oversee the Contracts organization responsible for reviewing signed customer agreements, validating commercial terms, ensuring proper system setup, and establishing billing and revenue schedules.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, and modifications, ensuring proper accounting treatment and system accuracy throughout.
  • Ensure strong controls and operational efficiency across the full contract-to-revenue lifecycle.

Process Excellence & Technology

  • Partner with Finance Transformation and Business Systems to improve quote-to-cash processes, reduce manual effort, implement AI-enabled workflows, and enhance data quality and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across contract processing, billing setup, revenue workflows, and reporting.

Support Acquisition Growth

  • Partner with Accounting Leadership on revenue integration planning for acquired businesses, including product and contract harmonization, revenue policy implementation, and billing and revenue process alignment.
  • Maintain revenue integrity through periods of rapid growth and M&A activity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 340-40
  • Significant SaaS revenue accounting experience, including subscription and recurring revenue models
  • Experience leading accounting or revenue operations teams
  • Experience supporting acquisitions and external audits
