About the Role:

As the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting, you will serve as a key leader within the Revenue Accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accurate recognition of revenue across an expanding portfolio of products and services. This role carries significant technical and operational scope, from evaluating the accounting implications of new product launches to overseeing month-end close, managing external auditor relationships, and building the scalable processes that shape our revenue ecosystem.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to help shape what modern accounting looks like. Our team is actively investing in AI and automation. We're building intelligent workflows that eliminate manual toil, accelerate our close cycle, and scale with the business, and the Senior Manager will be a key player in driving that work forward. If you're someone who gets energized by building something better, this is a great role for you!

This role calls for deep expertise in ASC 606 and Quote to Cash processes, strong project management instincts, and a natural ability to collaborate across product, sales, legal, and engineering. Just as important is how you lead, we're looking for someone who brings clarity to complexity, creates space for their team to thrive, and genuinely enjoys developing the people around them.

About the Team:

Our Revenue Accounting team is responsible for the accurate and timely recognition of revenue across the business. We're a collaborative, forward-thinking team committed to continuous improvement, and we actively leverage AI and automation to streamline how we work. We've built automated workflows across key areas of the revenue close and continue to expand that footprint as our product suite and business scale. As we grow and bring new products to market, this role will be central to shaping our revenue recognition practices and operationalizing what's next, driving that evolution forward while maintaining the accuracy and control environment that a business of our size demands.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Build and scale revenue accounting processes to support business growth, with an emphasis on automation, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline close processes, reduce manual effort, and develop intelligent workflows that allow the team to focus on higher-value analysis and judgment.
  • Own month-end close activities related to revenue recognition, driving continuous improvement in both the speed and accuracy of the close cycle.
  • Evaluate the accounting implications of new products — taking the first pass at identifying key revenue recognition and operational risks, and engaging technical accounting as appropriate.
  • Lead revenue accounting integration efforts for new products and services, ensuring compliant recognition and well-designed operationalization from launch through steady-state.
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures as our product offerings and systems evolve.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and legal teams to understand new offerings and their revenue implications.
  • Partner with technology and engineering to ensure data integrity and seamless information flow between our billing system, revenue recognition system, and ERP.
  • Drive key revenue-related projects aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization.
  • Manage interactions with external auditors on all revenue accounting matters.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and Quote to Cash processes.
  • Managerial experience is required - you have a track record of developing talent, building team capacity, and leading through complexity.
  • Public company experience or a strong understanding of internal controls environments - you are comfortable operating with the rigor, auditability, and SOX-level discipline that a scaled business requires.
  • Best-in-class Order to Cash expertise - you have built or significantly improved O2C processes and bring a clear point of view on what excellent looks like end-to-end.
  • A proven track record of automating accounting processes - you have identified the right opportunities, designed and implemented the workflows, and can speak to the operational impact of that work.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI tools in an accounting or finance context - whether accelerating reconciliations, automating data flows, or surfacing anomalies, you are actively exploring how AI can make accounting functions smarter and more efficient.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset - you manage projects end-to-end, meet deadlines, and bring structure to ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you can translate complex accounting concepts for non-accounting stakeholders and build trust across functions.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is $168,000/yr to $220,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
