About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

The US Finance team is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance and Business Analytics to own the economics of the US business end to end. This is a hands-on role with real scope. You will be the finance partner who understands, models, and explains what is actually happening across the full customer lifecycle, from first app install through deposit, trading activity, retention, revenue, and gross margin.

The work here is not incremental. We are scaling fast, adding new payment partners, launching incentive programs, and expanding into new markets. That means the models, KPIs, and reporting infrastructure need to be built properly, not patched together. You will build them. You will own them. And you will use them to shape decisions on customer acquisition, liquidity, fraud, and payments strategy with a direct line to US leadership.

This role exists because the US business needs a true subject matter expert on its own unit economics. If you want a seat at the table where real resource allocation decisions get made, and you are prepared to earn that seat by doing the analytical work that makes those decisions defensible, this is the job.

What You'll Do

- Maintain and update the US revenue and gross margin forecast on a weekly basis, keeping it grounded in actual driver-level data across deposits, trading volume, payment methods, and costs.

- Build and refine cohort models that track customer behavior from acquisition through deposits, trading activity, and retention, segmented by channel, market, and customer type.

- Decompose payments, fraud, and incentive costs line by line to explain margin movements and identify where the business is making or losing money at the unit level.

- Own the weekly KPI reporting pack for US leadership, including defining the metrics, closing data gaps, and making sure the story the numbers tell is accurate and actionable.

- Partner with growth and product teams to size new market and channel opportunities, translating growth assumptions into funded account projections, volume estimates, and expected unit economics.

- Dig into specific cost categories, including liquidity programs, web hosting, onboarding, and transaction-driven expenses, to build detailed models that hold up under scrutiny.

- Take analyses from initial framing through final recommendation, presenting clearly to leadership and following through until a decision is made.

What We're Looking For

- 5 or more years in strategic finance or business analytics, with a track record of doing the modeling work yourself, not just managing it.

- Demonstrated experience building driver-based financial models from scratch that other people can actually use and maintain.

- Deep familiarity with transaction-level unit economics. You know how to decompose margin by segment, channel, or payment method and explain what is driving the difference.

- Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment where the data is imperfect and the questions keep changing.

- Experience defining KPIs, building reporting infrastructure, and creating dashboards that a finance or strategy team relies on week to week, not just for a one-time presentation.

- A specific example of analysis you produced that changed a leadership decision on pricing, market expansion, or resource allocation.

- (Plus) Prior experience at a fintech, crypto, or marketplace company where payments, fraud, and transaction economics were core to the business.

- (Plus) Hands-on ability to write SQL and build self-serve dashboards in tools like Looker, Metabase, or similar.

Benefits

- Competitive salary & equity

- Unlimited PTO

- Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

- 401k match

- Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
