The Senior Manager, Supplier Development Engineering is a strategic people leader responsible for leading an engineering team in delivering manufacturing engineering support across the design and development lifecycle of TMTT implantable devices and delivery systems aimed at treating cardiovascular disease.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Supplier Development Engineering team; set clear priorities, drive accountability, and deliver against critical business and operational objectives.

  • Elevate supplier capability and manufacturing readiness, driving cross-functional alignment to support successful product development, scale-up, and commercialization.

  • Own end-to-end engineering execution across the product lifecycle, from concept through validation, launch, and post-market optimization.

  • Provide strategic technical leadership in sourcing decisions, including supplier selection, capability assessments, qualification strategies, and risk mitigation.

  • Drive successful new product introduction (NPI) through supplier validation, design transfer, and seamless integration into manufacturing operations.

  • Champion Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and robust engineering practices through rigorous design and process reviews.

  • Optimize supplier performance and cost by partnering on process improvements, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement strategies.

  • Proactively manage supplier risk, capacity, and performance, leading audits and resolving quality or technical issues with urgency and precision.

  • Align cross-functional teams and external partners to solve complex challenges, accelerate execution, and meet critical project milestones.

  • Drive disciplined project execution, managing timelines, deliverables, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure predictable outcomes.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific, with demonstrated experience in engineering operations, including process development and manufacturing support.

  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners

What else we look for:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Technical people leadership experience.

  • Medical Device experience in new product development with successful design optimization from development to commercialization.

  • Experience in more than one of the following areas: Interventional access devices, rapid product development and manufacturing of components and complex assembly design.

  • In depth experience with rapid product development in cross-functional teams, creative design, prototyping, and test method development (in-vitro-testing).

  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge and judgment to complex engineering problems.

  • Expert with DFM, GD&T and Six Sigma methodology.

  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.

  • Displays broad perspective and effective judgment, demonstrates well-reasoned problem solving and decision-making.

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $139,000 to $196,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).  Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.
