Owns Bilt’s Travel and Retail events pipeline during a temporary maternity-leave cover. Leads end-to-end production of dinners, conference receptions, fitness activations, and Cannes Lions activities. Responsibilities include setting event goals, managing vendors and partners, negotiating contracts, controlling budgets, coordinating on-site logistics, engaging senior stakeholders, resolving operational issues, and improving scalable production processes.
What is Bilt?
Bilt is the membership for where you live.
What started as a way to reward people on their largest expense has turned into an ecosystem connecting our members, property managers and local merchants.
Travel, dining, fitness, everyday spend. We are building systems across payments, credit, loyalty, and commerce all at once.
We run lean and move quickly. Every person here has a real impact on what gets built and how fast it happens.
This role comes with real ownership and high expectations. If you prefer clearly defined lanes and structure, this will feel uncomfortable. If you want to build quickly, have a real say in what gets built, and work on products used by millions, you will likely do your best work here.
What's the role?
Bilt's Brand & Experiences team is looking for a Senior Manager, Travel & Retail Events to own our partner-facing events pipeline through a four-month maternity leave cover. You'll lead end-to-end production of B2B events for our Travel and Retail teams — networking dinners, conference receptions, fitness partnership activations — capped by Bilt's presence at Cannes Lions in June.
This is a hands-on production seat, not a coordinator role: you'll run budgets from $15K dinners to $150K activations, manage vendors and partners directly, and sit across from senior stakeholders to shape what each event needs to accomplish.
This is a temporary Senior Manager of Events position that will support our travel and retail events for a 3-6 month assignment.
In this role you will...
- Lead and grow Bilt's pipeline of events and experiences for the Travel and Retail teams, from first brief to post-event debrief
- Produce high-quality experiences across every guest touchpoint, holding Bilt's bar for taste and execution
- Build lasting relationships with guests, partners, and senior stakeholders through memorable, engaging events
- Own vendor and partner relationships — sourcing, negotiating contracts, and keeping budgets efficient without sacrificing quality
- Run end-to-end logistics: event setup, on-site coordination, production calls, and post-event recaps
- Produce Bilt's presence at Cannes Lions, plus networking dinners, conference receptions, and fitness partnership activations
- Meet with senior stakeholders across Travel and Retail to define event goals and translate their vision into produced moments
- Solve logistical and operational challenges as they come, keeping execution seamless
- Streamline event production processes to increase efficiency and scalability
In terms of qualifications we're seeking:
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience curating elevated experiences, events, membership clubs, or brand activations — ideally across both large-scale and high-touch environments
- Proven ability to build brand affinity and loyalty through in-person experiences — getting people bought in through storytelling, space, and hospitality
- Experience building or managing exclusive member communities or loyalty programs, with a deep understanding of how to create compelling, differentiated offerings that drive engagement
- A data-informed mindset — you set clear goals for events and programs, evaluate performance, and articulate impact through engagement
- A portfolio of memorable, high-quality work that showcases taste, originality, and the ability to build for a discerning audience
- Experience working with or alongside standout brands in hospitality, fashion, media, or luxury lifestyle
- Deep cultural fluency — you stay tapped into what's cool and translate trends into unforgettable moments
- A builder's mindset with a hospitality instinct — you create scalability without losing sight of how something feels
- Ability to work in person in NYC five days a week, travel roughly once a month (plus as needed), and flex for event-driven late nights
- Available for the possible full contract term, February 1 – June 30
Nice to Have:
- Interest in growing into a people and culture leadership role, even if that hasn't been your formal path to date
- Already a Bilt member — you understand why we exist and have ideas about where we could leverage our partners in a unique way
At Bilt, we believe in transparency and we do our best to make sure the company and our candidates are on the same page as it relates to compensation. In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and Bilt's salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.
This role will be paid at a monthly rate of $8,000 - 10,000 per month with the expectation to be onsite 5 days a week in our NYC office. This role is a full-time temporary position for February - June 2027.
