About the Team: 

The Facilities team ensures that every operation across the site is “go” at all times, supporting everything from power and utilities to highly specialized machines like industrial 3D printers. Our 1 million square foot headquarters is complex: one structure, but functionally 20 mini factories under one roof. That complexity brings unmatched opportunities to grow your skills through cross-training and ownership of specialized systems. With rapid expansion and development of the facility, we’re helping build a truly state-of-the-art work environment. This team is deeply embedded in both planning and execution, brought in early to shape the physical assets that will support scaled operations.

About the Role:

The Sr. Manager of Workplace and Facilities is responsible for leading workplace experience, employee engagement programs, and daily operations that support a high-performing workforce. This role oversees office management, workplace services, event programming, facilities operations, vendor partnerships for food and snack programs, and space optimization while ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment. 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who excels at execution, team development, and stakeholder communication, with the ability to create exceptional workplace experiences that support both employee engagement and operational readiness in a dynamic, mission-driven aerospace manufacturing environment. 

Workplace Experience & Employee Engagement 

  • Drive a positive, efficient, and high-functioning workplace environment that directly supports employee productivity, engagement, and company culture.
  • Design and manage workplace experience programs, employee engagement initiatives, and site activation strategies that enhance daily employee experience.
  • Lead planning and execution of onsite programming including all-hands meetings, executive visits, employee appreciation events, wellness initiatives, and cultural programming.
  • Manage comprehensive food and beverage programs including pantries, snack and beverage services, catering coordination, food service standards, and employee amenity operations.
  • Partner closely with HR, Internal Communications, and Leadership teams to deliver integrated employee engagement strategies and workplace culture objectives.
  • Oversee workplace services including janitorial operations, waste management, conference room management, furniture coordination, and employee support services that impact daily experience.
  • Develop service standards, operational protocols, and employee feedback mechanisms to continuously improve workplace quality. 

Office Management & Daily Operations 

  • Lead daily operations across office and support spaces to ensure seamless functionality and responsiveness to employee needs.
  • Manage space planning initiatives, office moves, seating strategies, and workplace optimization efforts that support organizational growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations for workspace, vendor coordination, and service delivery to maintain operational continuity.
  • Support rapid organizational scaling and evolving business needs through adaptable workplace solutions and infrastructure.
  • Manage facility-related incidents, service requests, escalations, and business continuity activities impacting workplace operations.
  • Partner closely with EHS, Security, and Program teams to align workplace operations with broader organizational priorities. 

Team Leadership 

  • Lead and develop workplace coordinators, facilities supervisors, technicians, experience personnel, and vendor partners. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer service excellence, safety, responsiveness, and operational performance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, service metrics, and professional development plans for team members. 
  • Support staffing strategies, onboarding programs, training initiatives, and workforce planning activities.

Vendor & Contractor Management 

  • Manage third-party service providers, food service partners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure exceptional service quality and compliance.
  • Negotiate scopes of work, review contracts, and manage vendor performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Coordinate facility construction, workplace enhancement projects, renovation activities, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with site safety, security, and operational requirements. 

Compliance & Safety 

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, aerospace, and local regulatory requirements across workplace operations.
  • Support audits, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance reporting activities.
  •  Partner with EHS to maintain safe working environments and strong safety culture across all operational areas. 
  • Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Develop and manage operating budgets and capital expenditures for workplace experience, facilities operations, and employee amenity programs.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining operational performance and workplace quality standards.
  • Support long-range workplace planning, infrastructure upgrades, and site expansion initiatives.
  • Utilize metrics, data analytics, and employee feedback to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. 

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of workplace management, office management, or facilities experience, preferably within aerospace, manufacturing, semiconductor, or mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing workplace teams, facilities personnel, and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace operations, office management, employee experience programs, building systems, and facilities compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and managing workplace experience initiatives, employee engagement programming, and event coordination. 
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and engineering operations in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to lead through change, manage ambiguity, execute with urgency, and deliver exceptional employee experience.

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Master's degree in project management, Engineering, or Finance
  • Certification in PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or equivalent
  • Experience with manufacturing, aerospace, or large-scale capital projects
  • Familiarity with ERP or project cost systems (SAP, Oracle, Procore, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel-based dashboarding
  • Experience with AACE or PMI project controls frameworks
  • Working knowledge of contracts, change order administration, and construction cost estimation

Hiring Range:
$150,000$207,000 USD
