About DroneDeploy
DroneDeploy powers field teams with robotics and AI. As the only reality capture platform that combines robotic automation, AI agents, and a truly unified system, DroneDeploy allows critical industries to operate with speed and confidence.

From construction and energy to agriculture, the world’s largest companies use DroneDeploy to simplify field operations, improve safety, and make smarter decisions, faster. By combining aerial drones, 360 and fixed cameras, ground robots and proprietary AI, we’re bringing the power of automation and visual intelligence to all stakeholders, from the field to the boardroom.

At DroneDeploy, we thrive in a mostly remote-first culture rooted in innovation and impact. We’ve been recognized as a Best Place to Work in the SF Bay Area and named one of America’s Great Places to Work—but what truly sets us apart is the experience you gain: solving real-world challenges with cutting-edge technology, surrounded by teammates who are as passionate as they are supportive. Our team is bold, mission-driven, and building something that matters. We foster a culture where a variety of perspectives drive smart decisions, and where growth—both personal and professional—is part of the journey. Whether it’s flexible schedules, family-friendly benefits, or our strong track record of internal promotions, we invest in people as much as we do in product. If you’re looking to be part of something ambitious, authentic, and transformative, you’ll find your place at DroneDeploy.

Role Overview

As the Senior Marketing Operations Manager, you will design and run the foundational systems that power DroneDeploy’s go-to-market strategy. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Operations, your primary focus is on the inbound funnel and campaign operations (lead capture, campaign intake, production, and channel reporting). While the Head of Marketing Ops will focus on the outbound funnel and ABM strategy, the two areas are deeply connected so you'll jointly shape both.
This is a senior individual contributor role who will partner closely with the Head of Marketing Ops to build the AI infrastructure from the ground up. You will shape how tools like Marketo, Salesforce, Clay, Claude CoWork, Glean, Gemini and related platforms work together, and you will set the operating standards that Demand Gen Managers, Field Marketers, and BDRs rely on every day.

You will work directly with senior GTM leaders, including the VP of Demand Generation and senior directors in Comms, Business Development, and Revenue Operations. Your strategy is the backbone to their success, so you will be in lockstep on setting strategic priorities and measuring performance.

Work Environment

  • Work from Home: This role is based in the United States. DroneDeploy operates in a remote-first environment. This role works closely with partners across Marketing, Revenue Operations, Sales, and GTM Engineering, so consistent overlap with US-based teams is important.

  • Business Travel: Minimal travel is expected, with occasional domestic travel for team planning, onsite collaboration, or company events.

  • AI tooling: AI is part of how this team operates. This role is expected to lead adoption of AI-powered workflows across the GTM stack, using tools such as Clay, Claude CoWork, Glean, and Gemini to improve campaign execution, data quality, and funnel performance.

Responsibilities

    Campaign Operations:

  • Scope and production: collaborate with Demand Gen Managers and Field Marketers in launching marketing programs (emails, webinars, paid ad, event). Manage the intake, define target segments, and build assets in Marketo and related tools

  • AI-powered workflows: lead AI adoption and techstack design (current mix: Clay, Claude CoWork, Glean, Gemini). Beyond streamlining execution, you identify gaps in the funnel and deploy workflows to close them

  • Partner with marketers: translate new, ambiguous go-to-market requests into structured programs and processes, as both the strategist and builder.

  • Database health: partner with Legal to ensure compliance (GDPR, CCPA) and minimize degradation of contactable database

  • Platform Operations

  • Data hygiene: ensure marketing and sales data are complete/accurate to support critical workflows (e.g. account prioritization, lead scoring, routing)

  • Data optimization: design and optimize the infrastructure to support growing lead enrichment and contact acquisition needs from ABM

  • End-to-end funnel health: own form management and partner with the web team on conversion optimization. Maintain sync between core systems (Marketo, Salesforce).

  • Drive lifecycle management: In collaboration with the Head of MOPs, optimize lead scoring, personas, and segmentation to support both inbound motions and ABM

  • ROI Reporting and Attribution: design and maintain the piping (UTM, campaign structure) to connect marketing spend to pipeline

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment

  • Administrator-level experience with a Marketing Automation Platform, with Marketo preferred, plus deep practical experience in Salesforce.

  • Built GTM AI workflows you can walk through end-to-end

  • Experience owning measurement infrastructure, including attribution, UTMs, campaign architecture, and reporting tied to pipeline performance.

  • Designed and maintained lifecycle automation for complex B2B funnels, including scoring, segmentation, nurture, and Marketing-BDR handoff.

  • Managed  enrichment platforms such as Clay or ZoomInfo at an infrastructure level, not just for one-off workflows.

  • Strong systems-thinking and business problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess downstream implications, identify high-leverage improvements, and translate business needs into scalable operational design.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders as well as hands-on practitioners

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator preferred.

  • Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) preferred.

  • Experience leading a MAP migration or major system integration is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience configuring IPaaS or workflow automation tools such as Workato, Tray.io, or Zapier is a plus.

  • Experience with CommonRoom, 6Sense, or similar ABM and intent platforms is a plus.

  • Experience supporting BDR operations, including lead routing, outbound ABM infrastructure, and enablement across multiple segments and geographies, is a plus.

Why Join DroneDeploy?

  • Impact: Build the inbound and campaign infrastructure that connects marketing investment directly to pipeline and revenue in a company scaling AI-powered reality capture across construction, energy, and other industrial workflows.

  • Scope: Own a critical GTM domain end-to-end and shape how marketing systems, data, and automation support company growth.

  • AI Leadership: Lead real AI adoption across campaign operations, enrichment, and reporting, with the mandate to turn promising use cases into durable operating leverage.

  • Partnership: Work directly with senior GTM leaders and the Head of Marketing Ops on roadmap priorities, infrastructure design, and cross-functional execution standards.

  • Growth: Step into a P4-Advanced role with room to expand your influence across martech architecture, funnel strategy, and AI-enabled operations.

  • Culture: Join a remote-first team that values clarity, initiative, experimentation, and measurable business impact.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
