The Marketing Science team at Snap helps advertisers get the highest possible ROI from Snap’s ads platform by using advanced measurement and analytics. We equip our Sales teams with what they need to be quantitatively driven, consultative partners to advertisers through training, tooling, and measurement best practices, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Strategy, and Sales to ensure Snap’s ad products are effective, efficient, and customer‑centric.
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Scientist to join our Marketing Science team at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do:
Be the primary driver of performance improvement across key measurement solutions, strategic partners, and top advertisers through a mix of learning agenda development, measurement strategy, experimental design, causal analytics, and ads efficacy solution prototyping
Lead measurement, research, and learning plans for key clients, partners, and solutions in support of advertiser objectives, Snap’s business goals, and the long-term growth of the ads business
Develop strategy, prioritization, and roadmaps for ads measurement and insights products across assigned solutions, partners, industries, or verticals
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and R&D teams to identify, prototype, validate, and scale new measurement solutions and capabilities for the broader Marketing Science organization
Lead the scoping and development of custom multi-study meta-analyses in partnership with Data Science, R&D, and external partners to understand the relative impact of different marketing strategies across digital platforms and media
Build measurement capabilities, performance guidance, and advocacy across verticals, strategic partners, advertisers, cross-functional teams, and the broader industry
Partner with Sales teams to deliver actionable insights, consultative recommendations, and measurement best practices that improve advertiser performance and strengthen client relationships
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that establish Snap’s perspective on measurement, attribution, and advertising effectiveness within the industry
Utilize AI tools to more efficiently develop scalable data solutions, while maintaining rigorous standards for accuracy and statistical integrity.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
Clear and concise communication; comfortable with presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Understanding of measurement concepts, solutions, and underlying statistical fundamentals leveraged in the ads efficacy and measurement ecosystem
Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following areas: conversion lift, brand lift, or econometrics modeling
Understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data-mining techniques
Proficiency with advanced analytical tools (e.g. SQL, R, SAS)
Access, analyze, interpret, and communicate ads performance insights using a wide range of standard data science tooling
Understanding of the vertical needs and ability to creatively apply measurement solutions and insights in a way that improves advertiser performance and the value proposition of Snap
A strong understanding of Snapchat and the digital advertising and measurement ecosystem
Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools to remain at the forefront of data-driven decision-making, insights generation, and industry best practices
Minimum Qualifcations:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field, or equivalent years of practical work experience
5+ years of post-Bachelor’s advanced analytics and measurement experience; or Master’s degree in a quantitative or business field + 4 years of post-graduate advanced analytics and measurement experience; or PhD in a relevant quantitative or business field + 1 year of post-graduate advanced analytics and measurement experience
Experience in marketing science, product strategy, ads measurement or a related field within a technology, media agency, consulting firm, advertiser, or research company
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business, math, economics, engineering or a related field
Direct work experience with top performance or brand advertisers
Experience with ads measurement for one or more of the following verticals: technology, entertainment, travel, telco, or finance
Experience building and influencing client or partner relationships

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually.
Zone B:
The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually.Zone C:
