Job Description

Job Purpose

The Senior National Account Manager will own the relationship with the Non-Commercial account, Compass, and is uniquely positioned for an ambitious leader who is has an appetite for full ownership and accountability for our products and customers. This is not a traditional sales role. We are searching for someone who is eager to be a leader, adept at creative selling solutions and has a proven track record to win new business through influence and activation.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing sales with top tier accounts, selling incremental branded opportunities, and building a profitable pipeline of accounts for development and conversion 

  • Accountable for joint Business Planning and strategy setting for the customer through the development of selling stories based on insights and analytic data  

  • Drive proprietary development projects with R&D/Marketing and SKU assortment with culinary collaboration  

  • RFP and contract ownership with added goal of supporting S&OP through Forecast process and waste mitigation 

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required 

  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience required with demonstration of account management resulting in profitable volume, customer penetration, and attainment of new business and growth 

  • Experience in CPG, restaurant, culinary, and/or foodservice distributor industry required; Prior foodservice a plus

  • Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas with discernment that not every sales opportunity is equal  

  • P&L experience including managing a trade budget and achieving consistent, profitable growth  

  • Strong analytical skills inclusive of prior management of systems for supervising and recording sales, effective business planning, and data-driven strategy for maintaining current and securing new customers 

  • Effective communication skills leading to positive influence across partners 

  • Overnight Travel is required, and the amount varies by territory 

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is considered a Remote based role that can be performed from a home office with expected travel. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$120,800.00 - $151,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
