About this opportunity:
Take this exciting opportunity to join our global professional team at Ericsson as a Senior Network Engineer - Packet Core, responsible for optimization, troubleshooting and performance improvement of Ericsson's packet core and 5G core networks. The role focuses on supporting end-to-end network performance, analyzing KPIs, and ensuring stable and optimized operation across PS core domains.
What You Will Do
  • Support end-to-end packet core to improve network KPIs, stability and user experience.
  • Analyze network KPIs, traffic patterns and subscriber behaviour and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across MME, EPG, SGW, PGW, HSS, SAPC, WMG, DSC and 5GC components.
  • Support capacity planning, performance tuning and QoS/parameter audits.
  • Assist in upgrades, new feature activations and new node installations from a performance perspective.
  • Work with RAN, IP, Cloud and OSS teams to improve end-to-end network performance issues.
  • Participate in customer technical discussions related to KPIs, network issues and optimization outcomes.
  • Provide input to RFP and pre-sales activities related to packet core network design and optimization.

The Skills You Bring
  • BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in packet core, 5G Core optimization, planning and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson's packet core and 5G Core, including MME, EPG, SAPC/PCF, SGW, PGW, HSS and 5GC network functions.
  • Proven experience in KPI analysis, performance improvement and network capacity optimization.
  • Understanding of end-to-end packet core call flow and interfaces with RAN and IP Core networks.
  • Experience with cloud, VNF and CNF environments; 5G Core experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex packet core issues and guide provide solution.
  • Good customer communication and collaboration skills.
  • Very good command of the English language.
