The Communications & Marketing department is responsible for creating and amplifying our story in ways that get riders excited, motivates our team, and builds great relationships with local communities and partners. This role is a key advisor and strategic partner to the VP of Communications & Marketing and acts as an operational linchpin and strategic facilitator within our department and across Zoox. You will play a key role in building and managing our long-term strategic roadmap, goals, and the operating rhythm of the department. You will also lead strategic programs and play a critical role in transformative new initiatives and external activations.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to the VP of Comms & Marketing, standing in on meetings, challenging ideas and offering a different perspective, and following up on action items with the team accordingly.

  • Manage central operations for the department, partnering closely with the leadership and team PMs to maintain and scale a holistic mode of operation.

  • Drive strategic planning, goal setting and tracking, and department governance and team meetings.

  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, facilitate special projects, and ensure action items are executed on behalf of the VP.

  • Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility.

  • Assisting with cross-functional strategic matters: commercialization, service and operations orchestration, etc.

  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and options regarding high impact decisions.

  • Partner with the VP’s Executive Assistant to collaboratively ensure calendar is organized and aligned with critical priorities.

  • Manage agenda and content preparation for internal and external executive meetings. 

  • Support the VP of Comms & Brand brand, producing content and presentations both internally and externally. 

  • Track/forecast budget and headcount; develop annual budgets in collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in managing a center of excellence team, across a variety of Comms & Marketing functions. 

  • Experience engaging and collaborating with senior leaders including C- Suite executives.

  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and workflows on deadline.

  • Strong track record managing complex cross-functional projects. 

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels of an organization. 

  • Proficient in Google Suite and Content Creation.
